Best in the area for lunch. I eat out 2-4 times per week in this area. There are some good restaurants, but Sol is my favourite. I have never had a meal that wasn’t very good to excellent, in about 30 visits. But the best part about Sol is, the owner (who is contsantly running around serving customers) is genuine and friendly. Not that phony, forced friendliness that you get everywhere – but really natural and normal. She takes a minute to make real human contact. This makes a big difference to me. I also like the fact that there is plenty of seating, a nice cheery decor and big windows to watch the world go by. two thumbs up. I am a bit confused by people who complain it’s expensive. It’s pretty average price wise, with lots of stuff around $10.
Delicious !. I have been visiting Sol Foods for lunch for a while now, and I really enjoy the menu. The price is par for the tasty food and portions. I would and DO recommend Sol Foods. A great place for breakfast, lunch, coffee and dessert.
Not cheap, but worth trying. I went in and asked for something delicious. I was not disappointed. I ended up with a delicious healthy wrap. I will be returning.
Fabulous. I have never taken the time to review a restaurant; generally if I like it I go back and if I am unimpressed etc I just never go back. After working and eating in the area for the last decade I must say that Sol Food is definitely on of my favourite places. Home made delicious food, super friendly staff willing to accomodate my occasional picky orders due to food sensitivities!. Cost alone is a tough issue to base a review on as this is not Mcdonalds (have you seen the prices for their crap!!) and the Dollar Value in regards to Quality and Quantity is very reasonable. This is definitely a must try 🙂
Convenient. I’ve been here a couple of times as a guest. Eggs so so – nothing spectacular and pricy. Had the carrot cake this time. It was heavy and sugary, but probably unrealistic for me to expect much more as I am probably very critical of all carrot cakes that don’t come out of my oven. Service was consistent and the place clean.
Just Meh!!!. I have been working in the area for 6 months now and had visited Sol a few times. I have to admit every time I eat here I walk away feeling meh about the food. I find it over priced for what it is and the treats are all so bland! I personally feel that if I am going to spend that sort of money on food I want it to be fantastic. I would personally not recommend this without stating it is pricey and the food is meh.
Unfortunately, they close at 4 from Monday to Friday.
