  In Response to Homophobic Review. Its unfortunate that you had a bad experience at our pub but it is important that we follow proper procedure when serving alcohol. The liquor law that I explained to you that night was accurate. It is true that most pubs dont follow this law, however, we have been warned by the liquor board that we MUST follow these rules or we risk being shut down. It is not worth it to me to get a personal fine and also for the pub to risk being shut down.As for the homophobic remark, I think youre jumping the gun on that one. I didnt make ANY comments about sexuality OR race OR gender and in fact I serve and am friends with many people of different ethnic backrounds, as well as people in the LGBT community that come in on a regular basis.Please follow the link below and scroll to page 34 and you will find the laws for BC when serving alcohol and that those werent lies that I made up just so I didnt have to serve you because I didnt like your gender, race, or sexuality. I judged you that night based on the fact that when you came to the bar and asked for 2 pints, I couldnt legally serve them to you. Not only because its the law but because you looked under 30 I needed to see two pieces of ID and I also needed to see the other person Im serving the other beer to in order to make sure that they are also of age and that they werent already intoxicated. When you came up and started challenging the law that I told you I had to enforce, it seemed as though you were looking for an argument and I wasnt going to be that person to argue. After my third time of trying to explain it to you, you started threatening to go to another bar where they would serve you two beer at a time so I told you to go there. Im just trying to do my job and enforce the laws and keep everybody safe. I find it a little hypocritical of you to write in an online post that its not fair to be judged for being a certain race, gender, sexuality or ethnicity but yet youve judged and accused me of being intolerant of all of those things when none of them were ever mentioned or ever a factor of why you didnt get served.
