More home-made than at home!. Breadstuffs bakery is an AMAZING bakery that’s constantly impressing me with new ways to keep things local and filler-free. I never miss an opportunity to stop by for an espresso brownie and jar of (the world’s best) jam. The soup is legendary and the staff are so friendly and on the ball- I always see them hurrying to help customers, bring out food from the kitchen, and all the while with a smile. The remarks about this bakery being dirty are completely unfounded, this place is spic and span. Don’t miss an opportunity to drop by here, it’s a microcosm of Island living- wholesome, home-made, and welcoming. 10/10.

Soooo close!. This cafe/bakery is a great fit for Brentwood Bay. The baking and cafe meals are well-made, there’s a large selection to choose from, and the coffee is good. But when I run in for a coffee and some baking in the mornings, there’s often a wait, but only for one or two customers. I wouldn’t be writing this if I didn’t hope that the feedback might make a difference somehow. It shouldn’t take ten minutes to grab a coffee and a muffin. However, the wait might be more tolerable if the service wasn’t often blunt and uninterested. Most of the staff is cheerful and on-the-ball, but there’s one or two staff in the mornings who obviously would rather be doing something else. That doesn’t make for a good environment. Today wasn’t the first time I’ve noticed this, but it’s the first time it was so blatant I left before being served. So much potential! I want to love you, Screaming Bird!
