Returned for weekday lunch after long absence. Late afternoon, almost empty. Decor was nostalgic and pleasant and service was prompt. Ordered the daily lunch feature x 2: chicken Caesar wrap with cup of daily soup and coffee. Coffee was hot but not particularly tasty, but we were offered refills. Meal arrived in about 15 minutes and was tasty but mediocre. Tab: $25+tip. Will go back if convenient, although it bears remembering that peak hours (e.g., Saturday noon)were extremely busy in years gone by, with entranceway crowdedand some giving up and leaving.

It’s a shame cause we live in the area and we would love a funky little diner to go to on weekends. Not this place!My meal was gross. I ordered the eggs benedict and it tasted like it had been soaked in white vinegar. Sauce tasted like vinegar too. Potatoes were watery and I’m pretty sure they had been just boiled. The whole plate was white (absolutely no colour), watery, and anemic looking. Totally bland, except for the vinegar flavour. I reluctantly ate half of it even though I was totally put off and felt sick from it. *WORST PART* Drank my iced water and ended up with a used toothpick wrapper (from a previous customer I suppose) in my mouth that had been in my water cup the whole time. SO GROSS. Felt like making myself throw up after this meal because I didn’t want that food in my body.We told the waitress about the trash in my water and she did nothing but quickly clear our plates and give us the bill, the full charge. The signs and rules in the diner make the atmosphere very uncomfortable and the staff are unfriendly and cold.Just gross.
Good food. Nice servers. Good prices. Remember it is a diner not a luxury snoty restaurant. Nice 50s decor with a local feel. Not open late. Note their times. Can be busy at times.
We were in this morning for breakfast, first timers, the server didn’t even say hello to us, just walked over and asked what are you having? DIdn’t ask us how the food was tasting, didn’t ask us how the food was …. we were disappointed in the service and the food, we barely touched our breakfast, as someone who’s worked in the food industry in the past, when a customer’s plate is still full you’d think to ask how it was or if there was a problem 🙁 We won’t be back.
Not my cup of Joe. Foods ok but the service makes the experience not worth it. I came here to enjoy my meal but left knowing i would not be back. Rude server and I think one of the owners is off her meds.
Terrible service. I live across the road and have gone there on multiple occasions but the service lately has been HORRIBLE. I’ve never seen anything like it. Three of us just went there and saw 3 empty booths and no one came to tell us what was going on or seat us even though they saw us standing there for 10 minutes at which point left. There was also a group of 5 in front of us originally that left as well because they weren’t being helped. The time I went before two of us sat in a booth and they told us of it got busy they would need to move us. The food is great but whoever owns this place needs to do something about their staff.
TO LATE. We went there yesterday it was at closing time but had a few mins to go in and order the wife went in to check it out the waitress started to complain that we were coming in at closing time not the first time.We have gone in before and no one seemed to want to help us so we won’t be going here anymore and nor will our family and friends.
