Yummy. After moving to Brentwood Bay we thought we would try the local Chinese place for a takeaway.We ordered Sweet & Sour Pork, Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken with cashew nuts, Chicken fried rice, Mushroom fried rice, egg rolls and prawn crackers. Everything was very tasty, although the Chicken Chow Mein was severely lacking in chicken (I couldn’t see any at all) and the Chicken with cashews was very heavy on the celery.Overall, we would definitely order from them again. Maybe they were just running low on chicken that night.
Great Food and Place. I ordered takeout on a Thursday night, and it was ready in half an hour. The noodles, ginger beef and egg rolls were hot, delicious, and easy on my wallet 🙂 Decent portions, too. I’d recommend trying the pork chow mein noodles, they’re my favorite.
Not going back. I placed a takeout order with The Orient and was told it would take an hour & they’d call me when it was ready. I thought that was kind of long, but figured I’d wait it out. An hour came and went so I called them back wondering where my order was. They said another 20 mins. After 25 mins I just went down to pick it up. It was ready, and tasted okay, but honestly how do you expect to stay in business if you take almost 2 hours to prepare orders??
