A wonderful Saturday dinner. Had been here for lunch few times, this was the first evening meal. The place was 3/4 full but not noisy, very comfortable sitting inside but outdoors would have been lovely too. Service good, the staff knew the menu well, & were helpful guides. Wine list is short, but good selections, cocktails looked intriguing but my wife & I are not mixed drink fans.Appetizers were ideal portions; my wife’s panko-crusted baked Brie with fig compote was delicious, my warm pear salad was tasty, with a bed of perfectly dressed arugula, candied pecans, strawberry slivers, Cambozola wedges and the pears. There were some roasted beets which seemed out of place, & there was actually too much cheese relative to the other ingredients (nice problem to have!)Braised bison short ribs were tender and tasty, the pappardelle with scallops (the latter perfectly cooked) had a complex sauce with amazing depth of flavour.Creme brle excellent, tiramisu leaned more towards coffee than chocolate, very nice! Coffee excellent. All in all a great dinner find a short drive from home for us, worth the longer trip from Victoria.

Delightful. My Grandaughter and I had lunch at Zanzibar on Saturday afternoon. We both loved the atmosphere and the food, the service was a little wonky to start as they apologized for being short staffed.the black bean veggie burg and soup were delicious. I am sixty and my Grandaughter is twenty.we were both impressed with everything!

Poor service. I found the food good but overpriced for what is offered. Lunch specials can be $16. + and may have meager servings. Nice atmosphere.

To avoid the confusion: the address at this website is not quite correct. Correct address is actually 1164 Stellys Cross Rd (not 1165) which is at the other side of the road.

By far my favorite place to eat. It’s very comfortable. The food is full of flavor. The tandoori chicken is and will always be my favorite dish. I bring all my clients and friends there.

Good atmosphere, decent food, pricey. I went out for dinner here with my husband and daughter. We made reservations which was good as it was quite busy when we arrived. The service from start to finish was friendly and professional but the food was extremely slow in arriving. The menu is relatively small but eclectic and original. I found lots of choice. I didn’t think the prices were high when looking at the menu however I could see why the other reviewers noted this when the dishes arrived. They were extremely small portions. Usually in other restaurants, small portions are associated in my mind with superior quality. The food was quite tasty but not gourmet or exceptional – there seemed no reason to justify the prices. The wine by the glass on the other hand did seem very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity served. Lots of atmosphere but it is odd to have to go outside to access the washrooms. Overall it was good but since it is out of our way, we probably won’t be rushing back for another visit.

Great service. I was there last week (Saturday) and was quite impressed except for a couple of things. I ordered the blue cheese burger and they brought me lamb. I detest lamb in anything. It was nicely presented, but because it had the funny lamb flavour, i took it home and didn’t eat it there. The web site says it was $8.95; my bill came to $15! And all I had to drink was water. That’s too much for a burger of any kind of meat. But it is a neat location, comfortable inside, and quite busy.
