Nice local restaurant with great food. We order take out and our kids love the pizza. The specials are a little pricey but we are never disappointed. It’s nice to have a family run spot in the neighbourhood.

Order from their special menu! The normal menu is nothing special, its what you would expect for it’s price. But it’s definitely something different and good! We had the Pulled duck spaghetti and half lobster linguine, seafood pizza as well as a dessert pudding. Everything was good but my favorite for the night has to go to the lobster linguine, amazing rose sauce, nice amount of lobster. My girlfriend ordered the pulled duck spaghetti and loved it until the linguine came out and she wish she ordered the same instead. The crust for the pizza was very toasty and light. Would definitely come back here again. Went in expecting sushi but got some wholesome fusion. Was curious about the negative reviews but it turns out to be a bunch of frequent haters that leaves good review once every light year. I do agreed that the service was not the best but it seems to be only ran by the couple only. Although I wont defend the service I would also comment that you shouldn’t expect 5 star hotel service.

Kinemi’s serves really delicious food prepared by talented chef-owner. The portions are large so you won’t go hungry. Exotic dishes including sea-food. Prices are reasonable.

Kinemi’s is a small restaurant hidden in the Champlain Heights area, very easy to miss from the street. We were in the area so we decided to stop by. It wasn’t busy so we were seated right away. We ordered the cheese toast to start, it was surprisingly good even though it’s very simple. For our mains we ordered the famous lobster spaghetti and the salmon linguini. The lobster was perfectly cooked, combined with the spaghetti was like a party in our mouths! Delicious! We didn’t enjoy the salmon linguini as much. If you order this dish don’t mix the salmon in the pasta otherwise it will cook; to be fair we prefer our smoked salmon raw.Service is fine and prices are fair, portions are very big. Kinemi’s is really small and the majority of the customers order take out. We would recommend and we will be back!

Kinemi’s Kitchen is a homey restaurant hidden away in Champlain Crescent. The pasta and Italian food is definitely different than what you could normally get around Vancouver. The restaurant itself is pretty small and there is a limited amount of staff. From our visit, it appears to be just the one wait staff in front and another in the back. There were a couple of other patrons when we arrived and we were seated after a minor wait.We ordered the Lobster Spaghetti and Pizza. The Pizza looked quite appealing despite being quite doughy with limited toppings. The dough was quite thick and was more like bread than a pizza crust. The tomato sauce and cheese were pretty good but overall, we thought the pizza was rather plain. The Lobster Spaghetti, however, looked amazing. The taste that was lacking from the pizza was definitely found on in the Rose sauce of this dish. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly but the lobster was overcooked. This resulted in a bit of a rubbery texture to the lobster itself. When you were combining it with the spaghetti and sauce, it still tasted great.Service was a bit lacking but is sufficient. The wait staff was there but it seemed like they did not really want to be there which is rather unfortunate. At the end, we saw a lot of potential but did not really see it realized. The dishes looked great but the taste was always a bit shy of what you’re expecting. This place feeds yours eyes before your mouth which is a bit disappointing. We would definitely recommend trying the Lobster Spaghetti though it is quite pricey!Make sure to like and follow if you’ve enjoyed this post!

You haven’t lived yet until you’ve eaten the Baked Half-Lobster Gratin Spaghetti. It’s pricier than most of their pasta dishes at >$20 but it’s gonna be the most amazing ros sauce you’ve ever tasted. The other dish I tried was the curry one and it was very unique because it had a strong curry/turmeric flavour but in pasta form. Also try their house Caesar Salad and house-made focaccia. you will not be disappointed by this neighbourhood gem. There’s a reason they’re only open for a few hours during lunch and dinner time.It appears the chef used to have a shop in Japan many years ago serving Japanese-Italian food because they put up the original menu on their wall before they opened shop in Vancouver. It’s a mom & pop shop that serves up gourmet

Good quality and you can tell everything is made from scratch. The chef here has been trained really well and has a passion for cooking g as you can tell from the dishes he makes. I recommend the special daily menu as it changes regularly as the seasons go by.
