For me, this is easily in the top 3 vegetarian/vegan restaurant in greater Vancouver area and I’ve tried lots. I love the owners and lots of the servers who work there as they provide great service. I love the energy and intentions behind the food and their offerings. This food heals as well as nourishes, yet totally delights your tastebuds all in unison. I plan to visit more often. So good. They should have cooking classes. Go and try it! Ragu, Pineapple Express burritos, vegetarian pho, have all been amazeballs!

  • Yes. We're Eating Again.

As a part of Vancouver Foodster’s Plant Based Bowl Challenge, my partner and I landed here at the corner of Boundary and Kingsway one Sunday afternoon. Lotus Seed is a place where vegetarians and non vegetarians alike can find something good to eat. It is a welcoming place and strikes me as somewhat spiritual compared to the other restaurants that we visited as part of this challenge. We had the Thai Lemongrass Curry which is on their regular menu and enjoyed it very much. The principle protein is tofu and it is served with brown rice and a pickled red cabbage garnish, in addition to some peas and carrots. The sauce is a strong yellow curry coconut concoction with lemongrass notes and just a bit of spice. We also enjoyed a filling bowl of Yam Soup also made with coconut milk. We enjoyed the wall art depicting influential vegetarians. As Albert Einsteins birthday recently passed, I was happy to see his picture as an acknowledgement that this wise man recognised the value of a plant based diet. If we all gave it a try even on a part time basis, we would be making a contribution towards fighting climate change. Thank you folks for demonstrating how good vegetarian food can be! yeswereeatingagain.com

I have been here several times. The vegan brown rice sushi is great unique idea though, the quality of sushi rice is far from an ideal status. It was cold and hard. It seems like the sushi rice is sitting in a fridge for days.I will not recommend any sushi here, if this sushi quality remains.Again, I like the idea; Vegan brown rice sushi. Wish they’re organic.Pho is worth trying.

Small little vegan restaurant located on Kingsway and Boundary. We ordered the phoenix roll, and the Thai curry, one dish with noodles and one with rice. The curry was very bland and very mushy in texture, we would not recommend it. The phoenix roll was decent and looks aesthetically pleasing, but not worth the price for vegan sushi.Service was good, but we were the only table at the restaurant at the time. Prices are too high for the quality of food, we would not recommend.

Awesome food, relaxed environment, reasonable prices. They don’t try to imitate meat, they let the vegetables shine brightly, lovely presentations. Friendly service, jazz piano music, rustic seating.Looks like it would be very busy at lunch times- specials offered. Closes at 8 daily, except 7 on Mondays. Credit cards accepted.

My favourite vegetarian restaurant out there considering I can’t eat onion or garlic. Personal favourites are definitely the pho, patewhich, Thai curry, and the avocado mango quinoa salad.
