Fantastic service, fantastic food!. We went to eat in tonight at Kasuga Sushi and left completely satisfied! Such amazing service and by far the best scallop motoyaki we’ve had…nice generous portions of ebi sonomono and wild salmon sashimi! Excellent presentation that left us excited to go back for more!
We ordered several rolls, tempura and agedashi tofu. The order in which the food arrived was odd. Most of the rolls came out first. The appetizers came out in the middle of the meal and the spider roll came out last after quite a wait at the end. The rolls were fresh and the mixed tempura was a large portion. The spider roll was just ok. It was drowned in sauce which took away from roll overall (I wouldn’t order it again) The staff was very friendly but the restaurant was extremely understaffed. Customers were seated right away but were waiting more than five minutes for a menu and food was quite delayed. Customers also took left over food up to the staff to be boxed and bills never came forcing customers to pile up along side several pick up only customers. The decor is quite well done and the restaurant has a comfy atmosphere. I would try this restaurant one more time hoping for better service. If I had a similar experience again I would only use it for occasional takeout as it is very close to home.
I went to this sushi place today with my boyfriend and it wasn’t good. We had a variety of nigiri, rolls, and 2 miso soups and a sunomono.. The nigiri was all terrible. It tasted like it has been frozen for weeks. We also had the explosion roll which was okay but way to much sauce and didn’t really stand out it any way. The miso was not so good and the sunomono was way to watery. The only think that we could say was good at this place was their green tea and California roll. Also the service was slow.. It took a little while for the waitress to ask us for drinks and when we needed a refill she would just like sneak beside us and take our cups.. Not very talkative I must say. Not impressed and never going back.
Best sushi by far in Chilliwack. I have had a lot of places I have liked but they are nothing compared to this place. They have one roll called the Explosion Roll that could litterally feed my family its so big!!! The neighborhood feel and custom sushi orders to eat have by far made this a family favorite for our family to go and eat there. Thanks Kasuga Japanese Restuant, Kris Frasz.
