Gave this play a try from my usual go to place. It was okay. The table set up could be better and the service has lots of room for improvement. Decent food and decent drink prices.
The Cambie has always been a favourite over the years to go and get cheap drinks and a snack. However, I do not recommend their brunch. The eggs are overcooked, they skimp on sauce, and their dishes feel incomplete/poorly balanced.Go for late night fun and cheap, well made drinks anytime.

I had a really good time here, I went with a group of 20+ people on a Saturday night and they didn’t even charge us cover or kick us out even though it felt like we were there for 3+ hours hogging up a full table unlike Steamworks *cough cough* (feel free to refer to my RANT about how terrible my experience at Steamworks was if you please). I had a long Island ice tea and the special which was a raspberry vodka shooter, it was alright for the price. The nachos were also a good fix to go with the meal, although I have to say a few if the chips were slightly moist, but overall they gave a fair amount of cheese and veggies to go with the nachos.
Given the beer prices and the general low-service approach taken here, I was shocked to hear that they don’t accept cards for less than $10. I was there for an event, and this policy made it impossible to order a beer for myself without having to spend another $6 at the ATM to withdraw cash from my debit card.
Disgusting food & bad service. I had the most DISGUSTING FOOD here in my life.The beer is cheap but warm, which is also disgusting.Also, BAD SERVICE!!!The waitress overcharged my friend and I, so BE AWARE when you pay.I’d rather keep going to The Famous Warehouse a block away.
Pit Stop. The poutine here is pretty good, I like their fries. Burger and beer are cheap, of course, but I don’t trust how clean their taps are. The bathrooms look nicer than the entire place! Luckily they got remodeled, I remember having to go out back in the alley before when there was a door open when people used to smoke in the smoke room. It was much better than using their old bathrooms. This place is a dive beyond dive, but the food is actually not bad.
