Came here to try their platter feast with the prime rib. They have some other great options for the meat such as beef cheek and lamb. The meat was good except it was overcooked. They asked me how I wanted it and I said medium rare but it was definitely not rare at all. But it was still tasty. The platter feast came with salad, spiced rice, and black beans. You can choose what veggies you want and what kind of dressing. It also comes with hummus and tzatziki. I like how custom it can be and the portion was quite large. I’d come back if I was in the area
Love the salads and burritos! Had a wonderful surprise of halibut on my salad instead of salmon last visit. I always enjoy my lunch here.Only one suggestion: I realize it may be warm in the kitchen, but keeping the outside door open in the winter makes the cafe very cold for patrons. Maybe consider keeping it closed?
Vibe: Super casual, quick bite.Do order: everything. I got the salad, which was massive. First look at this place and it seems very…confusing and messy. There is a lot going on with the dcor and the signages etc. Look beyond this and focus on the food, you’ll find that the owners of this place are very health driven. The place accommodates to a lot of people with strict dietary restrictions. They give you tons and tons and tons of add ons for your salad which did not cost me more money. They let you choose a very decentportion of protein that includes salmon, chicken, beef brisket, to name a few. I was super surprised with my meal at the end of picking everything that I wanted. The portion wasextremely generousfor what you pay. Everything was fresh, but there may be a chance that the proteins could go a little tough or dry as it basks in a heat lamp throughout the day. However I didn’t have too much of an issue with that, and for the price, its something that I can look past. dimsumtrail.wordpress.com
Attention Paleo and Gluten-Free people! Enjoy incredible value and always a great experience with their ingredients which are all local, organic, non-processed and very high quality. The staff are all very friendly Bahram and Eliza (owners) are a bundle of love. They have amazing $7+ 2LB Monster Burritos which are insanely great – you can even go bigger for $10. The salads, platters, and zucchinis are also fantastic! It’s a new Gastown/Chinatown staple and should definitely be considered for lunch and dinner!
Quality healthy and hearty meal for a great value. Ordered the lamb platter. The lamb consists of both bison and lamb, on a bed of rice. Loads of fresh vegetables and an assortment of homemade sauces.
Crazy value – everything is fresh, plentiful and full of variety. Meats, salads, toppings and dressings that never end. Enjoyed the lamb feast and it was enough food for 2 for $10. Add fresh squeezed carrot ginger pear juice for $2. The options are endless.
Feast Platter with lamb — tasty caveman food! Great place to eat healthy low-starch food with no processed ingredients. Grass-fed meat, free range chicken, wild caught salmon. Reasonably priced too ($6-$10) for Downtown. No fear of food coma at work. It’s conveniently located beside a McDonalds…
