  came here during dinner, if you’re planning to dine here, reservation is heavily recommended as it’s packed/super packed when i visitted in spring. so then, was just curious about the place due to it’s massive popularity after being voted one of the better restaurant in canada. well then came here and tried a few items, overall it was okay, love the pork for me, but it’s nothing super good that i’ll come back specifically for the item. kinda pricy as well, so i got to say it’s good food with a price. mangkr.wordpress.com

  Cute little 60s type of jazz cafe. They have the best chewy rich and thin pasta with the perfect simple combinations. The servers were helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had great service and food with great ambiance at this lovely little fusion gem in the second floor of China Town.

  Read about this in enroute magazine and it was billed as the best new restaurant in 2016. It actually lives up to the hype! Had the octopus salad, and the Lasagna is on point. Decor is a based on a retro Tokyo jazz bar. Would have given 5/5 if the drinks were better -$14 for a Singapore sling and it wasn’t very good

  It took me almost two months to book reservation at this restaurant. It was rated top 10 restaurants in Canada in 2017 so I have to try it here. For appetizers we ordered the bread and carne cruda. For main course, we ordered half chicken and tajarin noodle. We also ordered yuzu cream to end our dinner. I didn’t like the bread, I find the bread at Savio and Campagnolo taste better. We liked the carne cruda, it had a very delicate taste with mild grated parmesan on top. The half chicken was really delicious and very juicy and tender. It came with the sauce and the sauce went very well with chicken. The tajarin noodle was good but it was quite heavy and buttery so half way through the dish, it was getting a bit boring and too rich and heavy for me. I really loved the zuyu cream for dessert. It was very refreshing and the olive oil, pistachio and rhubarb complimented the cream quite well. The food was delicious and customer service was exceptional here. I definitely enjoyed my experience here and would definitely come back.

  Seems overpriced for the quality. The yuzu cream dessert however was just amazing. I would go back just for this dessert and some drinks. If I had $200 dollars to spend on a night out I could think of a dozen better places in Vancouver.

  As soon as we enter, they greet you with a warm friendly smile, they give you genuine service. They ask if you’ve been there before, if you need to know anything off the menu. The cocktails are amazing! The service was attentive. The food was delicious! I love the octopus salad, the taste is unreal and the way the octopus is cooked is really delicious, perfect textures! They make a very good dish of sea bream sashimi w/ hot chili oil and citrus juice, but I think it is seasonal. The Tajarin pasta with butter, roasted mushrooms, miso cured yolk was again amazing, the sauce just melts in your mouth. The half chicken was the best chicken dish I’ve ever had, it is absolutely a must get on the menu. Kissa Tanto never disappoints, definitely a must try!

  Amazing atmosphere and food. I have been here a lot of it is quite the unique place. The lasagna is a must try. Delicious cocktails as well.
