Sister restaurant to Ask For Luigi, their pizza toppings are what differentiates this from other Neapolitan style pizza restaurants. Marguerita Pizza is my default for testing the quality of a pizza place. This one had fiore di latte on it so naturally it was delicious. Looking at the cans of tomatoes they have, no wonder the tomatoe sauce was tasty.
My favorite pizza in Vancouver for sure! Lots of great selections and the ingredients they use seem to be very fresh. Lots of good flavors and their dough is so good. Perfectly cooked everytime, love their meat pizzas all the way. Salami here is the way to go. Thin crust and great to try real pizza. Love to take a few home and great to reheat even.
Fresh thin crust pizza? Yes please! Really glad I got the Calabrese, which features soppressata (thinly cut dry salami). So delicious. Shared a pizza amongst two people and was decently full. Come early because this place closes once they run out of pizza dough for the day! karenklee.com
We ordered 6 different pizzas when we had friends over, so I feel like I’ve got a good taste of the variety of pizzas offered — especially considering they don’t have a huge menu.I really loved the dough — it was quite chewy but I do like chewy crusts. It was a thin enough crust that it didn’t make it difficult to eat due to the chewiness. The topping combinations were great on all of the pizzas we had. The only downsides for me were that I thought the sauce combined with the the toppings was too salty for my liking. Saltier than any other pizza I’ve had. I also thought that the sauce and toppings made the pizza crust more watery/floppy than I would expect from a thin crust. Would I eat here again? Yes, absolutely. But I wouldn’t rave about it in the way I’ve heard others do (not sure what all the hype is about as I’ve had many better pizzas in Vancouver) and I wouldn’t go out of my way to get pizza here.
The pistachio pizza is really good, and I will brave it despite my lactose intolerance. I may or may not eat the whole pie myself in one sitting – that’s just how I live my life.
I wasn’t very impressed. The crust wasn’t thin or chewy enough (undercooked?). The sauce has a nutmeg flavour I didn’t enjoy with my margherita pizza. I would go back to try one with more toppings but I’d rather head to Nook or Nicli for a Neapolitan fix.
