The food here is absolutely horrible!!!I’ve had the clubhouse and a few asian items like noodles. Both were below average. This is as bad as it gets. So bland.I could cook better when I was a teenager.

June 05, 2016 Friend mentioned their Sunday Night Prime Rib Special for $10 and since I love prime rib, we decided to come here. FYI, special is for Encore members only. You can get a free Encore Membership at the front desk for free. First timers get $5 at the slots. The restaurant is very casual where you go up pay for your order, take a number, and they will bring you the food. When our food arrived, it honestly didn’t look too appetizing. The prime rib was warm at best. The beans didn’t look fresh and was watery. The mashed potato was super hot, but I’m not a fan of mashed potatoes so I just passed it to my boyfriend.Probably would not return for the prime rib, but the Butter Chicken Poutine sounds delicious.

You’d think Edgewater Casino would have quality food dishes and items on their menu but no. I know you shouldn’t order Chinese food at a casino (or any non-Chinese place) but since they offered, I decided to give it a try. We ordered the beef chow fun and seafood fried rice and was not happy with the turn out at all. Both dishes were missing ingredients, clearly not authentic enough and overall just lacked flavour. Very very bland…. I know it’s 24 hours and that’s why we went – for a late night meal after a night of drinks but for their prices… Never again. Everything is overpriced and just not good. Not coming back.PS: Service was terribly slow.. There weren’t even any other customers waiting before us while I could clearly see multiple cooks in the kitchen doing God knows what.

On Sunday, I was told to go to Edgewater Casino after work to have a $10.00 Prime Rib Dinner. Every Sunday between 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM you can walk up to Splash Bistro, flash your Encore card, pay, and find a place to sit with a table ticket stand and they bring you your meal. [Pick one up at guest services for free if you don’t already possess an Encore card]. We ordered our meal around 7:30 PM.This is the first time ordering this dinner here but let me tell you the mash potatoes were hot, the veggies warm and the prime rib was bordering cold. Almost food safe violation. My Prime Rib was pretty much well done. For $10.00, yes this is cheap. I’ll rather spend my $10.00 elsewhere as I feel like I was served leftovers. The $4.00 Breakfast is a much better option, In my opinion.

Good: Sunday prime rib dinner value, fast serviceBad: Chinese food, consistency issues, cold foodSplash bistro is a cafeteria type bistro located within Edgewater casino where you line up, order, pay and try to find a seat. During peak eating hours, it tends to get quite busy but you don’t have to wait too long as most people eat quite fast here. There’s always plenty of staff around collecting plates and cleaning which helps speed up table turnover rate. Not sure if the promotion is still around but they were offering a $10 prime rib dinner on Sundays 4pm-10pm. You show your encore card at guest services (free to sign up) for a coupon which you take to splash bistro. I have heard that they run out of coupons very quickly. I usually show up around 6:30 and haven’t had any problems. For $10, the prime rib dinner was quite a good value. It was a large piece of meat (maybe 10-12 oz). It came with mashed potatoes, veggies and gravy. There’s some fatty chunks that you may want to cut off. The mashed potatoes were creamy. The veggies a bit bland. You don’t get to choose the doneness of the steak. I have tried it twice and on the second visit, the found the food cold. They mass produce a few plates at a time. Depending on your luck, you may get a plate that was made awhile ago or you get a fresh plate. Also shared a Chinese food platter with chow mein, curry chicken, veggies and a bowl of beef brisket noodle soup. The Chinese food is barely recognisable as food. If I hadn’t seen the pieces of bone in the chicken drumstick, I wouldn’t have known the meat I was eating was chicken. It’s greasy, overcooked and lacked flavour. The beef in the noodle soup was tender but the flat rice noodle was over cooked, soft and fell apart upon picking it up with chopsticks.Overall, the food here is cheap and you get what you pay for. I would only return for the prime rib dinner. The prime rib wasn’t memorable but the price was. It’s a cheap dinner if you are in the area on the right day.
