We’ve gone to watch the fights a couple of times. It’s a small place and they allow people to reserve 90% of the tables in advance so if you show up at 5:00 there will only be a couple seats (even though those people won’t show up until 8 or even later). The food is hit or miss. Some items are well cooked and very tasty, but others are cold, poorly seasoned, and just blah. Service is friendly but they tend to forget about you after a while.

Horrible service. Mediocre food.. Saturday afternoon around 2pm, not very busy but Canucks game is on. Seems to be only 1 server on. We ordered drinks and server asked if we were going to order food, we said yes. She then disappeared for a bit only to return to sit at the bar to eat… Almost done our first drinks and we decided we would just leave when she came to take our order. Dropped food off and did not return until we were finished our meals. Would have liked a water and some extra sauce with my meal. A guy with me tried to compliment the deep fried pickles as she cleared our plates but she did not smile or even acknowledge him, bit of a snot. Oh well, definitely won’t be back.
Good food. good service. horrible management.. The general manager is unprofessional and inhospitable. does not handle paying customers with any care. don’t bother e-mailing the oaf – he is not helpful at all. which is so weird because his staff are awesome. the guys at the door are welcoming and friendly. the bartenders are attentive and warm. the servers are hospitable and professional. and the cooks put out some tasty meals. aside from the management being lazy and neglectful, they are simply rude. one of the managers had the main walk-way blocked because he was buying drinks for a group or girls. this ass – whoever he was – was literally telling paying customers to go the other way or wait while he gave out free drinks to his friends.

Bad. Worst restaurant in gas town by far
Worst service I’ve ever experienced anywhere in Vancouver!!! I hung out here for the first time with a friend at the end of Nov. on a Saturday night. We had ordered drinks and appetizers. The server started asking for our credit card to start a tab but we kept telling her that we don’t plan on ordering any more drinks. She still insisted on taking our credit card. After her 3rd time asking, I demanded to know why she kept asking and she rolled her eyes at me and told me to watch how I’m talking to her. At that point she suggested that I talk to the manager. He gave a more rational explanation that it is their policy to ask for the credit card to prevent the customer from leaving the place without paying the bill. I told him that if that is the case then asking us to pay for the bill would have been a better suggestion. He was unpleasant and just walked away and left the conversation. After we paid the bill the server was apologetic but really didn’t help as my bad experience will be far remembered. I’ve travelled and lived in various places but never saw such a rude server. Plenty of other bars in Gastown to give my $. I give this place ZERO stars.
