finally after 2 years of observing and book marking this place, i finally have the time and opportunity to come by and eat lunch here 😀 came in ordered a tuna sandwhich and i think it was a hmmmm can’t remember now, maybe it’s a pumpkin soup, i don’t recall for now, but it tasted good, and the taste of tuna is just right mixed with cheese and other ingredients as well. it maybe a simple ingredients but the choosing of each ingredient mesh so well with each other, and with the rest of the option that i bought. overall i was satisfied with the taste of the sandwich and definitely worth the hype that i had in my mind. mangkr.wordpress.com
Lunch is delicious here! There is a great selection of fresh sandwiches, salads, soups, baked treats and beverages. The staff at the counter is friendly and helpful with recommendations. Both my friend and I got a minestone soup and pear and cheese sandwich combo for lunch. The soup had a spicy kick and was very tasty. The perfectly grilled sandwich had a nice ratio of pear, veggies and cheese filling. Having both a soup and full sandwich was very filling for me so next time I would get a smaller selection. I had also got an Earl Grey lemon cookie to accompany my afternoon tea. The cookie had a stronger lemon flavour and the texture was very light and delicate with a sugar granual crunch. There are communal tables and bench seating for patrons to enjoy their food. Overall a fun casual place to visit for a quick lunch.
FINALLY ive found a bakery with 2 items of Great quality. Donuts and sticky buns. They arent you regular items and you can taste the fine quality in them. To be honest its really difficult to find a bakery in Vancouver with 1 great item
The dirty apron is famous for its delicious cooking classes. I’ve always wanted to take a class here but never have had the chance to. I almost was able to go to their couples seafood cooking class but in the end it didn’t work out!Nonetheless, they have an amazing selection of sandwiches to choose from. Fresh grilled and baguette sandwiches, and more. Their daily specials are good, but their lamb sandwich is probably the best I’ve had.
Was a bit disappointed with @greOrdered:// lunch special slow roast pork with spaetzle, grainy mustard jus, brussel sprouts and fried kale// Snow, snap english peas, wild rice, quinoa, with mint lemon vinaigrette and shaved pecorino// sticky biscuit// lemon earl grey cookieStated as slow cooked, the pork was not tender and was rather tough to cut. It was juicy though and it was a great cut of meat. The au jus was quite heavily flavoured and so I found the spaetzle to be quite salty. The salad could’ve been a winner but the crispy wild rice really interfered with the enjoyment factor of this dish. The rice wasn’t crispy. It was tough and hard, almost like left over dried rice and was very unpleasant to eat. It honestly was kind of a pain to finish the dish.Sticky biscuit was soso. Lemon early grey cookie was a winner even though it was on the sweet side.I don’t mind coming back for another shot, but my expectations were not met for a place that teaches culinary classes… dimsumtrail.wordpress.com
