The Irish Heather is a warm Irish gastropub dishing out classic fare alongside local/imported pints & huge whisky list. This is the place for outstanding old fashions and Irish Stout beers. Come here for an after dinner cocktail with the gang, while enjoy live Irish fiddling! gristleandgossip.com
Probably the largest collection of whiskeys I’ve ever come across ! It has an equal selection of scotch and American/Canadian whiskeys, in addition to a good choice of Irish whiskeys. Nice cozy bar with friendly staff.
Cheaters!! CAUTION When paying premium dollars for premium liquor, make sure you see the bottle before they pour into your glass. Pissed offWhy? Well, after watching the hockey game at GM place with one of my best friends, he decided letting train traffic ease was a good strategy before booking it to the burbs. What better thing to do then grab a drink with a good friend I see far too little. Irish Heather… pretty busy and light line-up at the door. I wanted to treat my friend to something special so I ordered 2 Macallan ‘ s Ruby (300$ retail per bottle of fine single malt). The bar keep said he was out of that brand and had to go to the back. He came back with 2 lovely crystal glasses with gorgeous scotch…90$ all in. It was amazing!Next day I decided I was going to purchase Ruby as a special gift. I was on the Macallan ‘ s site where they describe the nose of each whiskey. Ruby (the expensive scotch ordered the night before) was completely different to what was described. The description precicley fit a less expensive Scotch. A week later I returned to sniff both bottles. My thoughts were confirmed…I was 100% charged for the more expensive Ruby and served the less expensive Amber Scotch. Not experiencing the luck of the Irish but rather the bait and switch of the Irish! = cheats and never to return! I suggest trying the other scotch bar down the street instead of Irish Heather.
What a gem. More genuine than most Irish pubs. Not cheesy shite, excellent Irish whiskey and scotch list, and the best, property poured Guinness I’ve had in a while. Good food, tough nothing spectacular. Bonus points for a truly Irish barman.
Impeccable service!. Had a large group of hospitality management that needed a place to go to celebrate. The Irish Heather was super accommodating for our large group. Their Shebeen room offered a great secluded set up for our team with great pub fare. Our server Kaleigh was extreme knowledgeable, prompt, engaging, fun and organized! Definitely recommend for any future event small or large!
