The usher was really rude. Me and my friend mistook and step into a place that didn’t belong to the club… the reason me and my friends mistook and step into the place beside the club was because we saw two people step out from there and we thought that place was the washroom. The usher was super rude and shovel me out, and didn’t even want to hear my explanation… and threw my friend out the club because he was trying to back the usher off for coming after me… his argument was that I was under intoxication… but if I was under intoxiation, I wouldn’t be writing this. the usher and the manager Matt was rude and didnt want to hear me out… so I was real unhappy with their attitude when I was willing to step out some place that didn’t belong to the club. I told them I would apologize if the usher was nice and told us to step outside nicely… it was a really unpleasant night when usher was really rude to me and my friend
Went in for burger and a beer. I guess I didn’t make it clear enough. Asked for a veggie instead. Beyond terrible burger. Three pieces of the middle of lettuce. All white. Nothing on the bun but a tiny blob of ketchup. And a side of potato chips… Got charged almost $14. Not to mention the bad service, then got told it wasn’t his fault how much the veggie burgers cost. But it might have been nice to know it wasn’t included.
Terrible. Went in for lunch and had a horrible experience. pretty sure our server was high and confused. asked if onion rings were breaded or battered…he said breaded for sure (false). We were the only ones in there and the food still took an hour. The taste was terrible and dry (we ordered a wrap and a sandwhich) im sure the place is great for evening drinks but not to stop in and eat.
It’s a Donnelly Group bar so there’s not much going on here that you can’t find at the other Donnelly bars scattered throughout the hood but the food is consistently good and it’s very affordable. I like this as an alternative to the Lamplighter because it’s deader and cheaper. You can get a bowl of spaghetti and a Guinness for 5$ each on Thursdays when you’ll find me pearched at the bar with all my friends even though I don’t know thier names.
