I think its a great place for watching a game . With reasonable food and with good enough ambience. It has too many screens !! With half of them running advertisements.
We were excited to visit the Sports Bar, mostly after hearing about it at previous Canucks games. We weren’t entirely sure where to enter but found the entrance quickly. We were greeted by the friendly hosts downstairs and guided to the main hostess area. It was apparent right away that the Sports Bar had a lively vibe. We were shown to our seats in the reserved seating area and promptly attended to by our server for the evening. Considering that the restaurant seemed nearly at capacity, service was friendly and prompt. Our drinks and food came quickly (we had the jalepeno poppers and yam fries). Our food was tasty and met our expectations. Pricing seemed fair considering the portion size, downtown location and co-location at the arena. We later figured out that if you are seated in the reserved seating area / ticketed area, but don’t have a table, you are given a limited menu; full menu is available everywhere else in the restaurant I’m assuming for practical reasons. (It would be hard to eat nachos, wings or a burger in an arena type seat). We were sitting in the first row and bird’s eye view of the ice made for an excellent viewing experience. Our seats were spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was clean and organized, and bustling with server staff, all of whom seemed really friendly and attentive. Also, the restaurant seemed to have a TV hanging in any available space – it would definitely make viewing the game a very comfortable experience from the main restaurant area. We would definitely like to come back, maybe during NFL playoffs or another Canucks home game, to try out their full menu in their regular restaurant seating area. We can see ourselves recommending the Sports Bar to anyone wanting to view the game downtown, as well as out of town guests for a unique viewing experience.
I went to sportsbar on sat jan7 to watch NFL football . It was great energy during Seahawks vs lions game . At sports bar , it doesn’t matter where you , there tvs all around . Even there’s tvs in bathroom , so you don’t miss any of game . The service is top notch , staff is friendly and give prompt service . This is my go to place big Sporting events .
