Group dinner party, half of us decided on trying the omakase menu. I would highly recommend trying this especially if you’re open minded about trying different things. Our created menu was not over the top but certainly would cause some hesitation in those less adventurous.Highlights of this meal were the smoked olives, I generally don’t care for olives but these were incredible and our last dish of the evening, roasted lamb with miso beans, the flavours on this were superb. All the other items that we had were also quite good though we all found the bone marrow to be a tad under cooked. Beet salad was very light and bright tasting. The horse tartare was part of our menu and no one in our party had ever tried this before, we all found it to be quite rich and though we all agreed it was tasty and well prepared, only small quantities could be consumed.Highly recommend the downstairs if available.
Came here for dineout Vancouver 2017, ill be honest… i was pretty excited and had high expectations for this place. I felt as though it may be over hyped as the food was pretty mediocre and kinda disappointing. However, maybe i will try it in the future during a regular day to see other components of the menu. I will say, the bone marrow was definitely a miss for me!
came here after a small dinner, got a few appies here and there and a few other things as well. i got the charcutiere board, it was definitely good, but definitely not mind blowing to me. then the pork rinds… if you ever felt why the best stuff is actually the baddest stuff you can intake to your body, i can definitely recommend the pork rinds here… it’s like guilty sensations power lvl over 9000 or maybe that night i was just craving for some deep friend pork rinds… but never the less good dining overall most of them are atleast average, the reason i’m giving it a 4 is just because of the guilty sensation of pork rinds. mangkr.wordpress.com
