High quality and fresh donairs! Amazing, healthy, and also very addicting! They do NOT use frozen chicken! They use fresh, high quality chicken! It’s also marinated with high quality herbs and spices!
Best Donairs in town! High quality meat, marinated with love; fresh, high quality herbs/spices! Vegetables are prepared fresh, daily. Even the sauces are made in-house. The owner is very friendly, always happy and smiling.
A hole-in-the-wall (literally) serving quick and tasty wraps. Go for the chicken instead of the beef. Also, to me, the large and small aren’t too noticeably different (although I haven’t had both at the same time to compare).
Overpriced & greasy. I work around here so it’s obviously this is the joint out of convenience to get cheap and quick food that will fill the stomach up. It use to be decently priced and well portioned…but recently, the price for the chicken salad (rice/salad) including tax is around $12 and it’s greasy with TONS OF CHICKEN SKIN. these guys use frozen chicken.another better alternative that i’ve found is trekking 3 blocks or so down to tinseltown, called EINSTEIN’S wraps etc. for the chicken salad, with tax i get change from $9! the salad is made up of cabbage, cucumber, tomato, onion….with some pickles and turnips (optional). And this is less oily and there’s way less chicken skin…this is a husband and wife operation and they use fresh ingredients (not frozen meat).Sorry i’m on a tight budget and dont want my cholesterol to start skyrocketing with the amount of chicken skin, so World Wrap is pretty done for me. I rather hop a few blocks over!
Can be good, otherwise horrible. It’s great when the older guy is working. Every wrap I’ve had from him is incredible. Otherwise the other people, especially the middle aged girl that works, make horrible wraps. I went there today and the middle aged girl was working. I ordered a large beef wrap, and she didn’t say a thing, charged me for it and everything (girlfriend confirms that it wasn’t just me missing her saying something,) when the time comes she cuts chicken and I ask for beef. She says just chicken, that would be no big deal, but she proceeds to get angry and say that she told me that when I ordered. I apologize assuming it was my fault, after the fact I asked my girlfriend and she confirmed that she didn’t say a word about that. Now, the wrap itself, was SO small. I ordered a large, and it felt like a mini compared to normal donair places, and even smaller than a mini compared to the guys wraps that works at this place! The condiments consisted of barely any chicken, barely any fillings, but a million jalapenos. So, I’m done with this wrap place until they get consistent staff.
Great for lunch. World Wrap Place is a literal hole-in-the-wall on Water St. which serves donairs, shwarma, and so-on. the donairs are closer to the Halifax style than the Turkish style (think sweet sauce). I frequently stop by for lunch when I’m working in the area, and usually order the combo box: you get a generous heaping of chicken, rice, and a mixed salad, with tzatziki, hot sauce, hummus, sweet sauce and a pita for about $11. the serving size is VERY generous, so make sure you’ve got room for an afternoon coffee if you plan to get anything done later in the day!the fellow working the counter around lunchtime is very pleasant and serves up fast. his chicken is well-seasoned and very tasty, and the sauces are all just fine – usually I find sweet sauce a little cloying, but he uses it in moderation. the salad is iceberg lettuce with big chunks of tomato and lettuce, which leaves a bit to be desired… maybe he can take some tips from Doner Kebab up in Kitsilano on that. if you’re stopping by for lunch, try to get here around noon, as there’s usually a line-up around 12:30-1:00.
