Decent Indian Food with a nice ambience. Generally quite a busy place because it sees a lot of customers especially over the weekend. Had the tandoori chicken and it was white but would have preferred the original red. It was still decent thought.Had lamb curry as well which was well prepared and a good mix of spices hitting the right taste buds
I was very disappointed by the food! The presentation was good, the food smelled great but it was overwhelming salty to the point where it was hard to distinguish between the flavours of each dish. Great Indian dishes should each have their own special spice blend and character but it was impossible to tell because of the overpowering saltiness. Too bad!
We (my babes and me) went to Spice Kitchen tonight and had a wonderful experience. This restaurant has a lovely ambiance – very clean and well decorated. The service was fantastic – Jennifer you rock 🙂 And .. the food was sooo good. The lamb Masala was to die for with its rich textured flavors and ‘slow burn’ spice effect. The butter chicken was excellent IMhO; and, the Samosas were great too.. All around = all good. We will definitely be back for more… For the price, the service, and the food, Spice Kitchen is basically a 5 out of 5 for what it is .. but i have to hold back on a .5 just in case they out do themselves next time 😉
Ate here last weekend for our company Christmas party booked in a private room, but still had to wait for an hour for them to bring out the general buffet! This was not expected for an all-you-can-eat buffet, especially since we had a 1 year old that can sit still for only so long. Food itself was nothing special, as could be expected for a buffet. Pakoras and samosas were the best part of the meal, as well as the mango lassi & mango shake. The rest of the buffet was average. My wife commented that all the sauces appeared to be the same in all the dishes (same colour, same flavour). Staff were friendly though, and I would recommend this place if you need an Indian food fix, but it’s not outstanding on a grand scale relative to specialty Indian fare.
This place is exceptionally clean inside, with a pleasant atmosphere. While it’s predecessors were not quite as good and eventually failed, Spice Kitchen has rich curries and interesting dishes. In some cases the chicken dishes seem a bit gristly, but the vegetarian dishes are superb – as is their famous lunch buffet which I highly recommend.
