Best place in town. Been there twice now and the food is always amazing. Nothing bad to dario about this place at all. The service is great and if you haven’t tried it your missing out… Try the mango I’cecream the portions huge!!
Never again. I always tip. Always have for two decades… Until here. The waitress gave appalled looks at us mentioning an allergy to soy… And then put soy on the plate of food when served. We have eaten at a ton of sushi places all over Western Canada….And this is the first one to make us feel like we should have just walked out. Never will we eat here again. Their food was not very good anyways. The chopsticks were of the poorest quality I’ve ever seen. Which, yeah just chopsticks… But I don’t want to eat slivers.
Mediocre Sushi. I am from Surrey to which I have a real gem of a Sushi place (Tobiko’s) close to me. I judge all sushi by their standards. I went to nine117 hoping to find some great sushi. What I did notice as I walked in was that there was a fishy odor, not the kinda smell one wants to have while eating sushi. Remember fresh seafood should not smell. Maybe it was a fish market before it became a sushi place? I am cutting it some slack I guess. We were the only patrons in the resturaunt. Other then seeing the server we never saw the sushi chef, unless the server was the chef? I am biased when I eat sushi, because I do like to see the chefs at work rolling the rolls and preparing the food. After a longer then usual wait to order and be served with what we ordered I was disappointed. Sushi is about presentation and quality, not necessarily in that order. Mediocre food does not work for me. This is mediocre sushi!
Really good! The avocado was fresh and the rice/seaweed was soft enough to bite through, but didn’t fall apart! Friendly staff, I’ll be going back.
Gross. Not authentic Japanese sushi. More like Korean
Small space, friendly atmosphere. fish fresh, tempura ok, wish sunomono had more noodles. Overall dinner box filling.
First Class in sushi. My wife and I went there for our first time tonight. The atmosphere was relaxing with nice quiet music playing. Very friendly and prompt service. We each ordered the Sushi & Sashimi dinner box – what a great choice!! everything was fresh and very nicely presented. The quality was amazing and the sashimi pieces were far superior than most places. A definite 10 out of 10 We will be returning and bringing friends along to enjoy a first class sushi experience.
