Yay! Great gluten free options. After taking in the summer version of the Circle Craft Market at the Vancouver Convention Centre, my friend and I started looking for a place to grab a bite before the Celebration of Light fireworks. I was pleased when I spotted the Blue Edge Organic Cafe’s sign that they could provide alternate gluten free sandwiches, wraps, panini’s or bagels. We decided to eat there. My friend got a regular wrap, and I ordered a gluten free vegetarian wrap. I queried the man who took my order that they understood preparing something gluten free required specific adherence to making sure no cross-contamination of gluten (ie, wheat crumbs etc.) Then I carefully watched the person preparing my wrap. She knew what she was doing throughout and I had no qualms about eating my wrap…..my first-ever gluten free wrap.We were both pleased with our purchases and I will be back to try their other gluten free menu items.

Nice view and relaxing music!!. My friends and I always stop by for a snack and their delicious strawberry cheese cake gelato after working out at the gym. This cafe has a large selection of cold and hot drinks on the menu. Everything you could think of… even Bubble Tea! Rear to find in downtown coffee shops! Go figure! We liked their taro and coconut cream bubble tea. It was very rich and milky – makes me crave for more! My friends tried the Sara’s ice-cream, which was pretty good too, but the mango and raspberry sobetto gelato was better! So goooood….yum yummm…going back for more later!Strongly recommend trying the gelato!

Disgraceful Customer Service. As a tourist visiting not just Vancouver but Canada for the first time, this was not the experience I expected. My daughter while we waiting in line to buy ice-creams brought back to us in line to select. The ice-cream fridge was in front of the counter beside the check-out desk. I told her to put them back as they may melt somewhat before we got to pay for them. However, as I reached the checkout and my daughter took the ice-creams from the fridge the lady behind the register began shouting abuse at her about her stealing the ice-creams and how she had her on camera doing so. I protested but it did little to restore calm. Finally, her colleague/boss said that it was alright and that she was a ‘good girl’ – my 12 yo daughter. Disgraceful behaviour and yes, I did buy the ice-creams as promised to my kids and no, she didn’t give it free. Wouldn’t happy in Ireland.

Not vegan friendly!! The only meal without cheese is the turkey sandwich. Head up to Robson for vegan options.

Just ok. I wouldn’t give a negative review but I will say that the menu is pretty average (and I’m not entirely convinced it’s all organic). My main issue was that they aren’t accommodating to any changes at all. I wouldn’t substitute at many places (pretty much never) but this is a very casual lunch spot and they really should be more helpful.

Pretty spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. Food was better than expected and reasonably priced. Very convenient if you are staying at Westin Bayshore.

Nice Location But Nothing Special. Conveniently situated in Coal Harbour, the Blue Edge Organic Cafe offers a nicely located rest stop for a cup of java. Spacious seating inside and even a play area for the kids. But the coffee is nothing to write home about (using Kicking Horse brand beans).
