This place was alright. It’s very average that’s its forgettable. I was curious about the Ja Jang noodles. It had the flavour but was more soupy than what I had expected (I expected more saucy consistency).
We went to Book-Kyung on a week night and it was quite busy. We ordered three dishes from Book-Kyung: black bean sauce noodle, sweet and spicy chicken, and the seafood fried rice which comes with the black bean sauce. The food came out fast, the chicken was delicious, definitely our favourite dish. The noodles and rice were quite good as well; if we ever came back we would probably order them again. The downside to Book-Kyung is that the portions are on the smaller size. As mentioned earlier it was busy so service wasn’t that good either. We would come back, but not at the top of our list.
I tried a bowl of cold noodles (with ice in a bowl) and a dish of jajang noodles. The texture and quality of the noodles were good; however, the portion on both dishes was small. There were only a little bit of meat (beef), eggs, veggies and squid with the cold noodles. There was too much ice in the bowl of cold noodles. The jajang noodles had so much onions that my boyfriend and I didn’t finish them. The prices of the dishes were reasonable. I wouldn’t mind to go back to this restaurant.
Terrible. A Fail on all Fronts. Went here as it was open after I learned of the fire at Santouka (my original destination). As a party of 2 we were forced to sit on a table to share when there were clearly booths available. We were told that those are reserved for parties of 3 or more which is fine, except that the place was virtually empty. Then there’s the food… Bland, luke warm and it took forever to arrive. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
Loved It!. Went there one night with mother. Ordered Ja Jang Gan Noodle dish. It had a generous helping of meat and the sauce was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be returning.
Hit the spot. It was after 11pm. We were hungry. Went to Koreatown. Very busy. Loud dance music. Students having fun. Server was polite and helpful. Had spicy chicken, saucy seafood rice, and soju. Everything tasty. Not expensive. Will come back again to try more stuffs.
Bad service, wrong orders. I only go to this place if I have to by other people. They often get you wrong order. The owner one time even demanded more tips (because he miscalculated – when we left 20%tips)Just unbelievably horrible service
