Review for Sept., 2017:I tried to redeem my birthday drink. The female cashier at first said that they need to see the app or email. So I said I can show her the email. Then she said it doesn’t matter, she needed the app. She was so loud in which she didn’t need to be. I said I only have the email. I don’t know that they had changed the reward system (not using the vicinity rewards anymore). She could have politely told me that they need either the app or the new reward card, in which she could have given it to me and told me to register the card online first for redeeming the birthday drink. But she didn’t. She just kept shouting that they need the app. She didn’t need to be that rude. I just left. This is my last visit with Chatime.Review for July, 2015I don’t know why they won’t give you the rewards card unless you ask for it. I observed that the staff seemed not wanting to give customers the rewards card because they don’t want to do more work (they need to ask the customer’s name, phone number, and birthdate for the rewards card). I asked for one of their tea on their menu but they say it was sold out. I don’t know if it was really sold out or they just don’t have it but put a lot of variety on the menu for you to choose from. Their drinks are okay. But if you are looking for good tea, the tea at Shiny Tea is much better.

It has a wide range of flavours for you to try. I have to say my favourite would be any of the ones that have matcha. The sizes are a bit smaller than what you would normally consider as regular sized but being able to customize the amount of ice and sweetness is a plus.
Chatime always has a great selection of flavors, and so many options to customize and make it your own. The pearls are also fresh, unlike a lot of places I’ve been to. They also have an assortment of toppings/fillings(?) rather than the standard pearls, fruit jelly, and grass jelly. Their grass jelly is also super smooth and pudding like, which I prefer over the cut up squares. Definitely one of the better bubble tea places out there.
My first time trying chatime was at this location. OMG their pearl milk tea is soooo good. Best milk tea I’ve had in my life. It is roasted and their pearls are really chewy. A must try when you go chatime 🙂
Jul 2017: Their blue-purple gradient drink is very gimmick. Don’t get it.Jul 2016: Satisfies my cravings when in downtown. Roasted milk tea with grass jelly half sugar and no ice is my go-to. Brown rice green tea is also a good choice, the flavor is less intense than the roasted milk tea. Don’t get the thai milk tea. It tasted like it’s made from pre-made powder, very gross.
