Shopping in the Robson/Burrard area on a Saturday and looking for food at 2pm. So glad we caught the weekend brunch at Coast. I was pleasantly surprised with the crab and roasted pepper bennys. Although I must say the tater tots reminded me of the frozen ones…. The Ariel was a nice bubbly mid afternoon drink. The $10 benny special is a good bang for your buck especially given the nice establishment in the downtown core with professional staff. Would definitely come back.
Saturday night dinner my 2 other foodie friends. We came during the Dine Out Vancouver event so we get 3 courses for the price of $45. There are also additional add-ons to the dineout menu so we all chose the Tuna Tataki + Salmon Maki for an extra $10. One of my friend even added the wine pairing option ($25) but since I’m driving I passed this time. I really liked the sauce that came with the lobster, it’s butternut squash mixed with butter so it was sweet and creamy (btw I think I was pretty skillful separating the lobster tail from the shell in 1 whole piece). After tax and tips it ended up to be $70 for me.
