Good tasting food. Service is okay. Authentic tasting Korean food, prices are decent. Would not mind going back. Had the bimbimbap and it was tasty. Lots of other delicious things on the menu.
Jang Mo Jib has been there for over 10-15 years. I have not been back since a long time. I am glad that they maintain their quality unlike some popular Japanese izakayas which quality keeps declining over the years. The beef noodle soups is full of beef flavor, and I like that you can add salt and pepper to you preference.
I very much enjoyed this Korean meal at Jang Mo Jib. The hotpot was large and enough for large party and they made it nice and spicy. Loved the rice cake and the broth. Unusual korean menu in my opinion not just typical rice bowls and korean bbq. Service was very nice and it was a good group dining experience.
The food here taste good and is authentic Korean.I give 3.9 for foodI give 2.3 for service In terms of service, there is consistency in that every time I come here, the waiter or waitress appear like they are overworked and don’t want to be there. If and when I’m greeted, it is with:A. A blank don’t give faceB. Deer hit by headlights don’t understand what your are saying faceYour food is good but a little bit overpriced when you compare with restaurants like Sura. Sura has really good service that goes along with their good food. So Jang MO Jib, love your staff, instill more positivity in your work environment and staff, greet customers with smiles and be happy when a customer comes in. I am sure even more people will love your place because there will be good food and good service.
wish there was minus sign for rating this restaurant..they are totally overpriced, have bad service and most importantly crazily dirty.. dont recommend to go to this restaurant…
So I’ve gone to this place a few times from before they finished construction to this past weekend. The service was… strained 2 years ago and things haven’t changed much since then. I sympathize with the staff. They appear overworked and overwhelmed. There were only 2 waiters for the entire packed restaurant during peak Sunday (labor shortage?). However, it gets pretty old when your waiter sighs and is exasperated every time you ask for something like water which didn’t come until halfway through our meal. The table beside us got so fed up with the delays and incorrect orders that they just left. The Korean food was good and prices are on par for Robson Street. The interior looks great and authentic, K-pop music videos on big screen TVs. But the whole dining experience is soured by the service so your party ends up apologizing to each other as you walk out. You’re better off spending your money elsewhere for Korean food at places like Sura, the Koreana, Ga Hyang Ru, or most other nearby Robson eateries. 🙁
