So I received a gift voucher for Christmas and used it today. I made reservations for 5 and when we arrived, we were seated promptly. When I sat down, the chair had no padding and I could feel the wooden frame of the seat. The chairs were s bit to high and no foot rest for my feet. A party of 4 and 2 were sat with us. Nothing like mingling with strangers in what felt to be a sardine tin. The guy sitting next to me kept hitting me with his knee. While eating, there was no elbow room. We had a young chef who was energetic, some of the chefs were older and not much energy. Everything was cooked separately and given as such vs everything together. It was an experience. The prices were high but granted the location of the establishment. The food was good though

Wow! I was not at all prepared for how wonderful the food is. Then to watch such skilled handiwork as the cook juggles the food on a flat top in front of you and artistically places everything on your plate right in front of you. Wow!

I noticed online that there was a special voucher for Kobe steak and seafood house. During the holidays social shopper gave a $5 credit for any purchase. I couldn’t help but try out Kobe. The packaged price came out to $63 online but you had to pay tax and gratitude after your meal.We reserved our table on a Friday night and lucked out with parking out front. When we entered the energy and ambiance is incredible. Coat check at the front is free and I highly recommend this because when tepenyaki chefs cook infront of you the oil and smell of smoke can cling onto your clothes. When they return your jacket, I was surprised to find out that my coat was heated and warm. That’s pretty cool. We were escorted upstairs and Jimmy was our chef. He didn’t have too many tricks like the younger chefs, but he can definitely strike up a conversation. He is very funny. As for the young Asian servers, my girlfriend and I thought they did the best they could. It seemed like another of work for them catering big crowds. Our dinner started with green tea. Then soup came followed by a bowl of rice. Jimmy started cooking teppan prawns, teriyaki chicken, tiger prawns, vegetables, and beef. We got to see a few fire tricks and flat metal ladle tricks. You can also see other chefs do their own unique tricks as well. My girlfriend and I were clapping the whole time and we were really enjoying the start of our holiday evening. The dessert came and we chose the mango and green tea ice cream. A dinner and show for 2 people, 63 bucks before tax and gratitude, for downtown Vancouver is decent. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the voucher special. I wouldnt pay normal price to dine here and once you see the selection on the menu, it can get pretty hefty. The only downside of my night was when a manager or owner talked to our chef Jimmy like a slave and pointed for him to go downstairs immediately. He was in a t-shirt with numbers on his back. Our whole table looked at each other and felt for Jimmy. Our energy completely changed. Would I come back? Yes, voucher only. Not regular price. I recommend coming to eat their special.

Very expensive but the food is amazing and you get a little show when the chef cooks it up for you. Kinda a neat and different experience. I learned to like scallops and other seafood here because it is cooked perfectly. Always super busy

Food was above average. But cooking food in front of you is really the best thing you can have. The cook was awesome with his skill sets. More over it is a entertaining place than a great restaurant.

Was there last night for dinner and woke up with stomach pain today morning and all the other things associated with food poisoning. I had pretty much everything there from chicken beef to prawns. The sauces are salty and not as tasty as they used to be. I won’t go there again.
