This is a small causal restaurant located on Denman, not far from Stanley Park. They have quite a large menu of popular Korean food. During my visit, I had their Haemul Paenon and Yangnyum Chicken, both of which were quite tasty. The service was also decent: the staff were reasonably friendly, though not the most attentive. All in all, while this place did not blow me away (I prefer So Hyang), it is still a decent spot for some tasty Korean food.Haemul Paeon ($18.95):3.5/5This is a seafood pancake containing green onion, potato, squid, shrimp and mussel, and is served with a tangy and slightly spicy dipping sauce. The bottom crust was a bit soggy, but the top was nice and crispy from the fried potato. There was a pretty good amount of seafood present – I was not a particular fan of the mussels, but that’s just my personal taste. It was a bit bland on its own, but was pretty good when dipped into the sauce (or the yangnyum chicken, which I also ordered).Yangnyum Chicken ($19.95):4/5This consisted of large pieces of battered chicken coated in a thick, sticky sauce. I guess that this is probably best described as a more gourmet version of sweet & sour/sesame chicken. There was quite a large amount of batter on the chicken, which would normally be a flaw, but in this case I actually didn’t mind as the batter was very crispy and just as tasty as the meat. The meat itself was tender and juicy. The sauce wasn’t spicy to me, but had more of a tangy/sweet and slightly fishy (though not in a bad way) flavour.Summary:Food: 3.5/5Price: 3.5/5Service: 3.5/5Overall: 3.5/5Recommendations: Yangnyum Chicken

Dol sot bibimbap is delicious. We had the yangnyum chicken and it was ALL batter no chicken – and they did not care at all when we let them know … not worth the $20

A small gem in the neighborhood. I ordered the Dol Sot Bi Bim Bob with pork. It was really tasty. And it also came with 4 side dishes. Good food and good service, will try again for sure.

Best Korean hot pot we ever had. My wife enjoyed to the core, she ate more than her appetite . Very friendly service, looks the receipe is from the owner grand parents.

Had a really good experience here, even though I was sick and hardly could taste a thing. The pricing is reasonably here, especially since its in downtown, and the service was fair! I would defs want to come back, once I can actually taste my food.
