I always come back here even though it’s far because the ramen is great! The staff is super friendly also. It’s never too crowded and the food doesn’t take long to arrive. Price is reasonable.
the quality of the broth and the toppings are not as good as some of the newer places that have opened up around town.Service was good; however, I won’t be coming back for the food.
A fairly new ramen place. It’s location within all the very good ramen shops in town so in comparison this place is not the best but still decent. I love how they have set which you can get with your ramen. The best thing I ate there was the chicken karaage! It was amazing!! So juicy and tender and full of flavour! I would come back just for that!
Taishoken has become one of my go-to ramen spots due to the big flavour in the broth and consistency of the toppings. Naturally I had to give the sister restaurant a try. Men no kura has a nice inviting atmosphere and wasn’t nearly as busy as I thought it would be. I ordered the deluxe tsukeman with original miso broth and warm noodles. The broth came with a candle underneath to keep it warm, however it was hot enough and I blew it out to let it cool (cold noodles would have been the better choice here) the best way to describe the broth is thick and hearty, there wasn’t much depth of flavour but it was filling, very similar to Taishoken, maybe a bit more rich. The noodles had good bite and the chashu was tender. One of my favorite things about going out for ramen is the quality of service, the girls at Men no kura were over the top friendly and I will be back simply for that reason even though the ramen is mediocre.
We had the spicy Tsukemen ramen, the noodles tasted excellent but the overall soup taste was very so so. The temperature of the soup were not warm enough, I think the execution could be done better. Service was ok, we went on a snowy day with long wait outside the waitress were kind of pressuring us to finish our foods.
We came here for dinner on Sunday. Surprisingly there was no lineup. The customer service was great. The pricing for each dish was reasonable. We ordered an original tsukemen and tonkotsu garlic miso ramen. Both tasted good. The broth of the tonkotsu garlic miso ramen was a bit salty. I had to drink a lot of water to stop being thirsty. The original tsukemen had a thicker broth. Surprisingly I couldn’t finish the tsukemen, so I packed some home along with the broth. I put the broth in fridge. I took it out and saw an extremely thick layer of fat/solid oil on top of the broth the next day (today). I removed the layer of fat before I heat up the broth with the tsukemen. I really liked the texture of the ramen or tsukemen that was firm and chewy. I may go back and try other ramen next time.
Great ramen with reasonable price,Since there are lots of ramen places around,This place has their unique Tsukemen and others with different menu and taste.Amazing chicken KaraageHighly recommend.
