A group of friends and I decided to make Ole our happy our destination so I decided to call ahead the day before to make reservations. I was informed by the person who picked up the phone that they don’t accept reservations on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. We showed up the next day at 530, and was promptly advised by what I suspect was the same individual who had answered my call that we could only stay for 2 hours as the table was reserved by another group for later on that evening. Reservations, you say…I’m a huge fan of wings and Korean fried chicken so I was willing to put aside my personal feelings if the food was good. It wasn’t. We ordered garlic soy, spicy soy and salt & pepper. For the most part, the flavour was there but the batter was definitely lacking. It didn’t have the unique crispiness I’ve come to associate Korean fried chicken with. I’d definitely recommend against order salt & pepper as it was neither salty or peppery. We left half the plate of chicken on the side until it was finally finished off by one member of the group.Needless to say, if you’re craving Korean fried chicken, I’d suggest checking out Zabu instead. The chicken is infinitely better.

I came here on a Friday night for a coworkers going away party. It was early evening so we managed to get seating for about 10 people. Great place to get together, share some tapa style dishes, and of course drink some soju. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

This quaint little restaurant in Robson reminds me of restaurants I’d see in Kdramas. Cozy and casual, it’s perfect for young adults to hang out and drink a beer.No beers last night but a lot of Korean Fried Chicken. We had padak which is the variety with green onions and an Asian mustard-y dressing. It wasn’t bad but I prefer my fried chicken a bit crispier. The sauce itself was very watery and made the already not-too-crispy chicken more soggy. I think next time, I’ll try the Korean sweet and spicy version! The restaurant itself is a little hidden and is probably something I wouldn’t have known to go into if not for a friend. It’s a great place for hangouts with friends. Service was prompt and helpful; I appreciated that they played the newest Descendants of the Sun OST since I’m more than a little hooked.Overall, not a bad place off Robson. I might come back here if I were hanging out with friends.

came here after a day out in mdg, and was curious about this restaurant since a friend of mine recommended the place to me, so then decided to give the place a try, and the place is in a busy street of robson and the door is so small, that you have always seen that the place is there, but you never know what’s behind the door. Anyway koeran fried chicken, we ordered all flavours of it, and i find that the flavours are good but somehow lacking crispiness in the skin, and the sauce is just okay… overall i would say it’s a decent korean fried chicken but definitely not something that i would personally come back for the food. mangkr.wordpress.com

I saw a bunch of reviews on this place, and it was right across the street from our hotel. This was the best and most tasty fried chicken we have ever had. We order the blueberry soju ( after reading the reviews) and it was better than I ever thought, the Korean sweet and spicy boneless chicken and the garlic soy bone in chicken. The texture of the chicken had a great crunch and the flavors was really good. I think next time we might get salt and pepper just for the batter. we got a med order of the boneless to go for later and it was still very yummy the next day. If you are in the area.. I strongly suggest you try it 🙂

Best Korean Chicken I have had in Vancouver. I was in Seoul last year and specifically went for chicken while there… le Korean Chicken was better than Korean Chicken in Korea . It is a beer and chicken place so it gets loud. The only thing I would change is for them to show the Canucks when they play rather than annoying K-POP.
