Favourite West End affordable sushi (Tetsu is favourite but so expensive). Unfortunately the owner has decided to retire and the place is permanently closed.
Went there for take out tonight. Ordered 7 nigiri and one spicy tuna cone. They charged me $28.50 plus I left a tip. Strange thing is I didn’t receive a receipt (that is probably the first time I’ve experienced that). I thought it was rather high so I checked their menu online and called them. They closed an hour earlier than they post of their website so I had to go back to the restaurant and take a picture of their menu on the window. Adding all things up, my bill should have been $19 instead of $28.50. This seems strange because not only was I overcharged but no receipt? Of course I added the two taxes, but is there a hidden charge? Usually take out is cheaper if not the same as eating in. This whole thing sounds strange, especially because I paid cash. The food was good and the prices are higher than posted on their website, and that’s not a problem. I just don’t like getting overcharged and on top of that no receipt.
