Very welcoming atmosphere, great appetizers for the fine taste in Mediterranean cuisine, it’s a new restaurant and we’ve been there 3 times already and everytime the service gets better , you can tell they are constantly trying to work it up to perfection . Good place to celebrate birthdays as they have entertainment from belly dancers to arabic singers to Jazz nights..we sure enjoyed all the venues..
This place is amazing. The founder of Winnipeg Foodies says so! We were walking past to our hotel and smelled the delicious spices wafting down. We knew we would have to come back for lunch. (We suggest the shawarma.) It was a bit hard to find the entrance but someone was outside to greet us. (It is upstairs.) the manager personally took our order and told us all about the restaurant. It is only a month old! The food was professionally seasoned to perfection. Our tastebuds are dancing. You must eat here! The chef said the ingredients are all fresh and we believe him. Bring your friends; they should be a hotspot!
we wanted to go to Forage, under the Listel hotel but looked up and saw this new Lebanese restaurant. we decided to try it! As the previous review suggested, they informed us that they have a soft opening and that not everything is available on the menu. so we ordered appies and 3 shawerma platters! the restaurant was 95% empty but it took 40 min for the baba ghanoosh to finally arrive and 5 min later the three dishes! boy oh boy, they were awful. The quality, presentation and service ; Although the server was nice, the experience was so bad that it made it all negative. The manager came to check on us and once we told her that the wait was too long, she offered free baghlava. they collectively came 3 times to mention that the baghlavas are free! the baghlavas were cold and stale. nothing like rral Lebanese baghlava. overall, I would give them 1 star out of 5. if they don’t get their act together, they will go.out of business like so many other restaurants in this town.
I was really excited to have a higher end Lebanese restaurant in the area so decided to try it out. It turns out they were having a soft opening, but what a disaster. Me and my wife were waiting for an hour with no food in sight and not a peep from the head hostess. No appetizers were offered to keep us fed and allow us to try some of their dishes while we were waiting. We just got up and left without eating because it was taking too long. I hope they get their act together because running a business like this is destined for failure. I wanted this place to be great, but alas I’ll never know.
