I agree that this is the best indian food in Prince George. The butter chicken here is so good that I formed a once a week ritual around it. The chicken and beef curries are also excellent as are the samosa’s and pakora. The inside of the restaurant isn’t the nicest to look at but what you do get is a friendly owner who remembers you and is truly grateful for the business. Oh and you get authentic indian food of the highest quality and he doesn’t over charge for it. It is great.

Once a week. This is my Tuesday night feast. I am there at least once a week for the best butter chicken and the odd time pakoras in town. The owner is great and food is amazing.

Enjoy!. Enjoy going here every couple weeks for a good meal. Always full after the portions and I eat more than the average bear on average. The owner, Sammy is always very warm and inviting with his smile. Not your typical restaurant as there are no waiters/waitresses so just find a seat anywhere and Ozzie will be out shortly to get your order. Usually fairly quiet inside so nice to be able to talk with friends or feel free to find a channel and watch some tv. Food takes a bit longer to arrive but only because he makes each meal from scratch. If I am in a rush I call ahead with my order. Always my first choice for Indian food! Favorite meal is butter chicken with vegetable pakoras.

I ordered to pick up and asked for a lamb vindaloo hot with a garlic naan and some raita. This is the first Indian restaurant i have ever been to that doesn’t do vindaloo or garlic naan. I took what they had which was roti a hot lamb curry, rice and raita. I picked it up from a rundown not very inviting place and to cap it off he handed my food to me in a taco bell bag. Everything apart from the raita was microwaved and it was far from a traditional Raita. No cucumber no cumin just plain yoghurt with roughly chopped soft bell peppers and a sprinkle of carrot. I had a forkfull of the curry and I threw the lot in the bin. this would be a superior candidate for an episode of kitchen nightmares with the legendary Gordon Ramsey,

So good!. I have spent a considerable amount of time in India and know and love Indian food. Curry Kingdom, while admittedly lacking in ambiance, has the best Indian food I have had to date. I have tried Channa Masala far and wide and found nothing that compares to Curry Kingdom’s. The butter chicken is also to die for. As soon as the owners moved from Spicy Greens to here, I followed. They are as lovely as always and the food is truly quality. I am a loyal customer and have never brought anyone here that didn’t love it. Even for the years I lived in Vancouver I never would return to PG without making a stop for my favorite food.
