The first time I ever ate at a Denny’s was just earlier this year, in Edmonton. The portion sizes were large, the food looked so good it made your mouth water, and everything was SO tasty. So, when I walked in the Denny’s here in PG, I suppose I had high expectations. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met. The food was fine, but I remember being unimpressed. A person at our table had a gluten allergy, and while they have gluten-free options on the menu, they did not have any of the gluten-free muffins on hand. Rather than compensating somehow for the lack of muffin, the portion size was SO small. I don’t remember the specifics of what this person ordered but I remember thinking it looked so disappointing.The second time we went I decided to build my own grande slam, requesting scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, hash browns and toast. I pictured a full plate of food and what I got was again, a really small portion. Honestly portion size isn’t a big deal when the quality of the food is good. However, the scrambled eggs were just fine… reminiscent of the eggs I was served recently in a hospital. I had one bite of the turkey bacon (two pieces) and didn’t touch it again. The toast was pretty burnt… the server even mentioned it as she set it down on the table. Okay… so maybe the cooks should’ve remade it before sending our food out? The hash browns were the only thing I liked, but it’s kinda hard to mess up hash browns. The person accompanying me ordered this burger that honestly sounded amazing. It even looked pretty good. Sadly, they hated it so much they could hardly bring themselves to finish it. Apparently the fries were good, though. Greasy, small portions, meh service.. just no. So disappointing. We recommend the potatoes and chicken strips.. and that’s about it.

Can’t go wrong witht his Denny’s. Good service and consistent food quality
It’s a Denny’s…. No complaints about the customer service here. I’ve always enjoyed my experiences here, which have been weekend brunch dates and late night munchies. The food is OK, prices are OK, but the people watching here is… Priceless!
