BLAN!!. Ordered the special seafood soup. It was basically a bowl of hot water, with 3 pieces of broccoli and cauliflower each, 3 prawns, 1 muscle, 1.5 fish balls (the worst fish balls I have ever tasted, I seriously doubt there was much fish in them) and noodles. Literally no flavour to this soup………15 dollars

Worst pho I’ve ever had. Not even pho noodles, barely any vegetables at all, and the ‘lemongrass’ chicken had no trace of anything lemongrass and was breaded and deep fried to the point that my whole bowl tasted like old fryer oil. I’m not really very picky, and I am quite sure that the positive reviews on this place come from people who haven’t a clue what Vietnamese food is supposed to taste like. If you’re in pg and craving pho, just get over it. You’ll be really really disappointed.
I ordered the pho tai and I thought it was alright. The pho is nowhere as delicious as what is available in The Lower Mainland, but on a cold PG night, it did the trick.
No cilantro…. They didn’t have cilantro. i guess that’s a bonus if you hate it (some people do). but for me, it’s not pho without it.
U & Me is pretty good, but not exactly traditional Vietnamese likeI’ve had in Vancouver or Toronto. We had the curry chicken, lemon grass chicken, and spring rolls. While the dishes were large portions and tasted pretty good, they weren’t exactly what I expected. The Spring Rolls were dark coloured more like Chinese Spring Rolls. The Lemon Grass chicken was deep fried, while the curry was light on spice. All in all, Pho U & Me was good, but a bit more like Canadian Chinese than Vietnamese.
