Affordable and great for take out. The service is something to be desired (ate in at least 3 times) and can be quite slow. However as far as take out I think its great! I enjoy the sushi a lot. I have had quite a bit and would say its a 3-4 out of 5 for quality of sushi. My favourite spot for sushi in town.
This is a fantastic place to eat if you like food poisoning (barf). The sushi tasted fine though, not the greatest quality but certainly not the worst sushi I have eaten. I’m not going to eat there ever again though.
I don’t quite understand the ratings that have been received. Coming from the coast, this is one of the only two Japanese restaurants I will visit. I have found the sushi to be authentic and fresh and servers to be attentive and friendly (not like at some of the other places I’ve come across).While the food can sometimes arrive slow when having All You Can Eat, I have not found it to come any slower than at many of the more popular restaurants in town. I’ve found hairs in my food at similar restaurants, but have not found myself sick from eating here. It is hands down, one of the two best Japanese food joints in PG… Sendo being the other when they still offered variety.
Sushi star. We went for a nice meal but ended up having unsatisfying service an had orders that didn’t come. They said they sent out the order to our table already but we didn’t get anything. Food was alright an service was crappy. Be a while before considering that place again.
We went there for all you can eat sushi at this place few days ago. The service was horrible. The waitress was very unfriendly. Some of the food we ordered never came. We asked the server to check, and she said there’s nothing else coming. So we ordered those again, and again it never came. Only the cheap stuffs came and the more expensive items they just cross it off in the kitchen?? we were there for almost 2 hours and about 1 hour we were just sitting there be waiting for the food to come. In the end we just left, the expensive stuffs from the menu just never came. It was a horrible exprience, the waitresses were very unfriendly. We will never go back again
Outoftowner. Worsen suishi restaurant I have ever ate at. Service was terrible we had to chase the waitress around. They did offer drinks never took out order until we asked if we could order. The prices of suishi we massive and needed to be cut up before we could eat it. The place was also very dirty. Will never return again
Love it. We live about 7 hours out of Prince George but have travelled extensively. I had the best meal in recent memory at the Sushi Star. The Selection was great, the dishes were fantastic and the service was prompt and full of smiles. On top of all that the price was very reasonable. Prince George is very lucky to have the Sushi Star. Best deal is all you can eat lunch thats about $7 less than cost of Dinner, just missing a few of the items that are only available for Dinner. Every time we visit Prince George our first meal is Sushi Star.
