Amazing! What a nice surprise! The hotel clerk suggested this vineyard. We tried the bistro and it was FABULOOUUUS! I had the tomato, olive and spinach soup. It was awesome. The little homemade breads are out of this world: hot, moist, tasty. I then had the barley risotto. Made with mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, basil and feta. It was warm, very tasty and the presentation was really nice. My friend had the baby spinach salad. It was the most beautiful salad I have seen.Flowers, candied pecans, lots of greens, sliced peppers, onions, feta and a homemade pinot noir vinaigrette. Then he had the salmon accompanied with a nice pastry of barley, beets and other tasty stuff. The surroundings were bucolic and enchanting. service was very friendly , attentive and efficient. This place is a must try. SERIOUSLY!
A lovely surprise!. While just driving from Victoria to Nanaimo we veered off to check on a winery. Ended up at Cherry Point.Serendipity! Wow! Nice Patio to sit and enjoy our glasses of wine: Riesling (not too sweet and very good with my flatbread. David had a salad with Salmon and Prosciutto and a glass of Merlot. That salad knocked his socks off! Since we were so smitten we ended up first sharing a dessert and then, upon the recommendation of the server, each getting our own: a Chocolate Pot and a Pavlova: small portions but just the right amount after a wonderful meal. Living in Atlanta we have access to many good eateries but our Cherry Point Bistro’s lunch has come up in the conversation several times since we have returned home. The memory will linger and we’ll tell our friends bound for BC to go out of their way if necessary to enjoy a meal at this great spot.Compliments to the chef!
Phenomenal. I went to Cherry point in late September with some friends from out of town. Everything was wonderful. The food was bar none, so fresh and nicely seasoned, and perfectly paired with the wines. We loved the crab cakes! The ambiance was lovely too. One of the owners, Maria, was a very sweet lady keen to make sure that we had a perfect afternoon at her vineyard. Our waitress was very good as well. It is a shame that the bistro not open for dinner. This is definitely one of our family’s summer favourites now that the new owners have taken over.
