I usually come in to cow bay pub once every other week for a drink and fish and chips! I recently just got my license renewed so didn’t have the official card to show them for ID. So when I came in I explained to them that I didn’t have my license just the paper. Had other photo ID from school and they turned me down. I’m 24 and I come in pretty often but if your not 19+ and don’t have government id they won’t even serve you food which I think is ridiculous. Their website even states kid friendly? Ya right. I might have to find another place to start going from now on.
Horrible waitress. Went here for the first time in twenty years after moving back in the area, looking forward to good food and live entertainment.Husband and I sat at a table near the bar 10 minutes later we were told by a waitress that the table was reserved… no sign to indicate. I asked for an alternate table and was directed to a small table under the tv in the corner, we left without drinks or dinner but she did thank us as we left…? Horrible service…

Salt spring mussels are to die for !!!!!
Sourpuss Servers. Was in on the weekend for brunch and the servers were so surly that we left. Really – not one of the gals broke a smile in the time we were there. The only time we’ve seen such distaste for customers is from the gal at Bistro 28 in Victoria. Lighten up!
Great food. Worth getting here. It’s quick reasonably priced and fresh food. Will return again
The pub is a great place to enjoy drinks and appys with our friends.. We enjoy all the live music that they provide.
