This place is so great. I love the store and the smells inside are to die for. Their multigrains are really nice and the baked goods are always yummy. A must stop when you come through Cow bay.
Love this place. Bread is amazing and fresh. Pastriesand other goodies are legendary. I love how everything is so authentic and old school. Butterflies are my fav.
Best bread, cookies and croissants anywhere! Good service, excellent food. If you haven’t been here, you are missing out. (And, as an aside, their Christmas selections are the stuff of legend). I’m a huge fan. We’re meeting friends there tomorrow morning for coffee, tea and pastries.
Just OK!. All bread products I’ve tasted so far have dried out within a day, especially the cookies – very dry and lack flavour.

Terrible, terrible service but delicious food. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Went in at 5:30, bakery was closing at 6. Were told by a young girl with blue hair that we couldn’t have our food there, we had to take it to go as they were doing their close. She was horrible! Rude, condescending, spoke to us in the most horrible way, as if we were doing something wrong by coming into the bakery. All the food items had been removed behind the counter so we could only get a coffee. We sat with our to go cups anyhow, and had to listen to them yelling across the bakery to ‘lock the doors, it’s 10 to 6’ When we tried to throw our garbage away, a young girl with dreadlocks yelled at us because they had already taken their garbage out so she snatched the empty cups out of our hands. As we left at 10 to 6, a group of 4 people came in and we heard them yelling ‘we’re CLOSED!’ I almost felt like crying, I had been treated so poorly. A horrible customer service experience. I am sure if the owner had been there he wouldn’t have appreciated his workers treating his customers this way!
Amazing Organic Bread. Visiting from Calgary, Stop by Cowichan Bay and found this hidden gem that we ended up driving 40 minutes each day to just to purchase some bakery items. They have a variety of breads, which are fresh, soft and very yummy. Got home and ate half a loaf with just butter. While we were there, My mom tried a pretzel which she said was fresh and very tasty. I split with the hubby an energy bar and dark chocolate almond cookie, the cookie was great, not to sweet which was perfect, I hate when cookies are pure sugar, the energy bar was way to sweet for us but some people would love that. Anyways, you should stop by here if you are near, finally a place that is made with healthy ingredients and baked fresh daily.
