I’m so disappointed with this place. I have been here twice in the last month as it’s close to where I work and both times I received horrible service! Not friendly and the server had to write down two drinks we ordered. It’s a simple request that can surely be remembered?! I ordered the candied salmon salad – this is an absolute MISS! It’s so over sweet and feels heavy for a salad.

For a restaurant the coffee is good. I go for the poutine. I get them to throw bacon, sour cream and chives on – it’s a real cardiovascular delight! They also serve one of our local micro brews – Red Arrow- which is better than any of the domestics they have. My wife always gets the fettuccini alfredo with salmon and the sweet potato fries – she’s a picky eater and SHE likes it there. I used to get the BC Sunnystart breakfast until it came tasting weird once – I couldn’t explain what tasted bad – the egg or the sauce but I’ve had so many good ones that I’m sure I’ll try again (-a glutton for punishment lol)

Had decent service on a Thursday night and was pleasantly surprised by how good the ‘blackened cod and spicy tomato prawn risotto’ I received was. The risotto was nice and loose and they didn’t overcook the prawns – the last time I ordered risotto was at a really nice winery that served thick stodgy risotto with overdone scallops so this was a pleasant surprise coming from White Spot!
