So good we went twice a week.Best chinese restaurant I have ever eaten. The tea is amazing. So much so, that after our holiday was over, we have been trying to recreate it at home.Alice was our server and even recognized us the second time we went back. Great personable service. she’s a credit to lotus:)
Made a big mistake by trying this restaurant . it was filthy .ordered the food off a menu that did not have much variety for a chinese restaurant , wnet to use the washroom and had to exit as soon as I looked inside . it was more filthy than any washroom that I have ever seen . the food came right away . pork fried rice that looked like it was from the buffet the evening before …it was not fried it was microwaved . beef and broccoli. a few pieces of beef that were a light color and the broccoli was mushy and old , honey chicken was only a small portion of deep fried breaded chicken with a little side dish of a honey sauce, Cantonese chow mein because I do not like a mushy noodle. ..so I tasted the rice , broccoli and were both really old and un edible, the chicken was greasy and the oil that it was fried in must have been very old as it had a strange taste , the honey sauce was some weird mix of dirty oil and a little honey , and the chow mein was just dried cold noodles topped with 3 smelly prawns, two small pieces of squid ,sliced old green peppers and celery and some soy sauce poured on top . none of the food was edible ..the place is so disgusting that it needs an inspection ! do not go there !
New ownership. Ever since the Lotus Gardens has been under new ownership, the quality of the food has increased ten-fold. The Lotus Garden is my family’s go-to place for takeout here in Squamish. The dishes taste fresh, not too oily. The vegetables are always crisp in the various chop sueys, and we especially love the chow men and how the chicken is cut into slivers and then steamed so as to mimic the size and shape of the noodles. Do me a favor and try the fried fish balls that come with the fish and chips. They are simply amazing. The Lotus Garden has been in Squamish for a long time, and I would recommend the new food to anyone. Plus, free wifi is always appreciated. We will be back.
My least favorite of the chinese restaurants in Squamish. I have changed away from Chinese food rather than eating here.
