For the food, price, portion, and service, I would definitely go back. We arrived shortly after they opened for lunch and we were the only ones there. As lunch progressed, it became packed. It has quite a dark decor inside; probably made for night time but it still looks nice. Service was good. They were very attentive and filled our tea and water quickly. We tried the ika and chopped scallop nigiri, negitoro roll, seared salmon roll, and the nigiri tiles. Overall the food and portion for the price was good. The fish tasted fresh. The nigiri tiles is a pretty good option because it comes with miso soup, salad, and crab rice. The crab rice was interesting; something I never seen before. It was imitation crab on a bed of rice with tempura flakes on top and I think unagi sauce. It worked pretty well together because the flakes added a different texture. The only thing I didn’t really like was the seared salmon roll because it wasn’t what I was expecting and didn’t have any special flavour that stood out versus a normal salmon roll.
Damn, look at dat tuna sashimi! 8 pieces with salad, option of spicy miso AND covered in spicy crab for 15 bucks? Damn how much is it to live in Kelowna, im going to move. Everything on this bento was good stuff, even the salad was ok, well i mean it was dressed unlike another sushi restaurant we went to, Ozeki. More like NOzeki. AMIRITE?! The rice even had real crab on it and had some sort of spicy mayo on it, super good. 8 pieces of fresh tuna sashimi, ultra good. I went to tokyo express the other night and 8 pieces was 16 dollars, :(. Everything else that the group had was all one of the best sushi dishes that they ever had. This place was located just a little off of Harvey in a weird strip of space. If you go inside though its all business though, super sleek looking with bamboo chutes in the middle of the restaurant. All around really dope restaurant.Sal says: Just eat it#food #foodie #foodporn #instafood #delicious #yummy #sushi #YLW #kelowna
Our favourite in Kelowna for sushi. Love the Brussel sprouts and all the tempura options. And that they don’t chop tuna to mush for spicy tuna. Consistently good. And able to accommodate friends who have food allergies. Friendly service.
Really surprised by this unassuming sushi place. Vacationing in Kelowna and craved sushi, saw the positive reviews and thought we’d give it a try. Overall really fantastic experience. Attentive service, nice Dcor and ambiance, and best of all fabulous food! The presentation is delightful, and the portions are extremely generous for the price. Everything tasted delicious, I especially recommend the Tuna Karaage to start! Great tasting chunks of fried battered Tuna with a delectable spicy sauce. Our group was seriously impressed by the great value for money. If you’re in kelowna give this place a try!
Best sushi place in town! I’ve ordered Entres, Rolls, Appies and they are always very good. If I’m craving Japanese, this is my go-to place!
Ordered the beef teriyaki dinner, not one dish had the beefteriyaki in it. All the other dishes that was orderedcame. The waitress clearly doesn’t know what the hell she was bringing to the table.
Why this place gets such good reviews in this town is beyond me! Sushi is extremely overpriced and not nearly good enough to warrant ridiculous prices. Service is very poor. Anyone who knows good sushi would think this place is a joke. If you’re looking for a culturally watered down restaurant that caters to out of touch upper class kelowna citizens with fusion friendly dishes then this is the place for you
