Stopped eating here due to very poor customer service. When we first moved to Kelowna 2 years ago – this was our go-to restaurant. The food was good, but each time it seems the ladies who work behind the counter either don’t get along, or were having problems. There are at least 2-3 of them who consistently made it uncomfortable to eat there. With rudeness, irritated demeanours and frustrated with each other – it seemed they were irritated to take the orders, make it, or correct it (if you had something ordered wrong, or you wanted something else). Also we found the quality to decrease especially early last year. One time we were eating & were reading a riddle on the chalkboard, when one of the rudest ladies who works there overheard us discussing what it meant and decided to give us her 2 cents worth on what it really meant in the most condescending manner I have ever encountered by a restaurant employee. Hope this restaurant has got their personal issues in order by now, but they lost our business and by the lack of car’s when we drive by – I’m sure they lost others’ business as well.
What’s UP. Arrived with 5 guests on Christmas monday – CLOSED !!! Not sure if we willgo back again – Thought this business was more than a wrap take out.No menu to view except 2 pictures on website. What’s up with this cafe?
Not great. Eggs Benedict came as hard as hockey pucks after asking for soft. They used a microwave to heat the up hollandaise sauce. My side of bacon was cook a few hours earlier then reheated with microwave. I won’t come back.
Incredible food, service and catering. I had the opportunity to try the catering from Deli City Catering a few months back and I was blown away. The menu was incredibly diverse with Indian, European and a variety of Asian dishes. It was outstanding variety and quality. Service was impeccable and the owners Danny and Nicky were extremely friendly and professional. I work in the wedding industry and I would have to say this is my top choice for catering in Kelowna.
Delicious. As a regular visitor to Deli City I have to say it is one of my favourite places to eat. The staff are polite and helpful and the food excellent and very fairly priced. A cup of homemade soup and a hot sandwich are my favorite combination. The ham and bean soup and french beef dip I had this week were simply to die for! The breakfast menu is also vey good with lots of choice it suits all appetites. Well done Deli City – keep up the good work.
Well below average. Although the decor, the number of other customers and the cheerful, brisk service indicated the likelihood of a decent breakfast my meal really didn’t measure up. My eggs were poached in a steamer, the bacon (4 strips that amounted to about 1 1/2) was thin enough to read the newspaper through–no lie–and the pork breakfast sausages were of the absolute lowest quality that you can buy through Sysco or GFS. On the plus side the breakfast potatoes were quite good and the Van Houtte coffee, which I generally don’t love, was decent as well. In many ways this was a lot like an IHOP breakfast and as such I think there’s a number of better options like Specialty Bakery and The Bread Company.
Terrible!. I made an effort to go to Deli City because I knew it won awards so I assumed it was good. It took a couple of tries to get there because parking was bad. So was everything else. The sandwich was mediocre at best (I could have made half a dozen way more delicious sandwiches at home for the same price), the chips on the plate were soggy, and the caramel machiatto tasted like water and was probably a powdered mix, but still cost almost as much as a real caramel macchiato from a coffee shop. I have no idea how this place is winning awards because there was nothing about it that was good. Even the customer service was lacking.
