Go for it!. After my girlfriend and I decided from the many sushi places in Kelowna from the decently-priced menu and pictures of fancy, simplistic decor we decided to see what the reviews were. Most of the reviews we looked at said they did NOT have a satisfactory experience, but we decided to see for ourselves since we were looking for a semi-fancier place to have a cute date at. We arrived and were seated expecting maybe a couple things to go wrong, but were nicely surprised by the pleasant waitress and how nice the interior of the restaurant actually was. Many of the reviews said the food took an hour or more to get to the tables, but we got our food in good time and the order was all there. The food was tasty and satisfying and the service was good. We enjoyed ourselves, so I’d say before you quickly judge by the reviews give it a try.
Food is good but service is soooooo incredibly slow. Been here a few time and gave the benefit of the doubt that they were having an off day but this will be the last time. If you go make sure you have at least a couple hours to spare. Ozeki is much better. Don’t even bother with genjie
