Fantastic sushi, smaller than average size, but that’s what I prefer, except for the toro sashimi which was huge! Everything I had was fresh and delicious! And ya, Asahi on tap. Yum yum. Will definitely be back! Puts some of the sushi restaurants in Vancouver to shame.

On a Saturday night, this place was pretty packed. It isn’t a really large restaurant, so I would recommend making a reservation; especially if you have a larger group. There were 4 of us and were seated at the bar. It was actually kind of nice because we could see them cooking and preparing the food. We tried the sake steamed clams, Mabui roll, spareribs with yakuniku sauce , and the negitoro tar tar. When the clams came, I was a little bit disappointed with the portion. There weren’t too many clams and it was a tad bit salty. However, they were juicy, but I don’t think I would order it again. The roll was worth its price. It was a good size and the fish was fresh. The spareribs was different from what I imagined it to be. It was actually just two large pieces of meat. I liked the sauce, but I felt the meat was a little bit dry. However, the meat on the other piece was on the bone and much more moist. The negitoro tar tar was pretty good. The negitoro had a good texture, and the guacamole was good, but a little overpowering with the lime juice. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was served with cracker or chips. The way it was served made it feel like that’s how it should have been eaten. Overall, I was still happy with the food. I would go back to try different items. The service was good and the atmosphere is nice. Definitely worth a try!
