I really enjoyed the atmosphere under the covered outdoor patio during lunch there recently.It was like being transported to a different place and time. Open, airy, timeless decor, the nicest Victown patio experience for this resident for sure.The staff was young, courteous and competent.I ordered a prawn pasta dish with a cream based sauce. It was good, my companion tho had the prawn tacos and I managed to trade for one of those, oh man, that was really good, with a wonderful collection of ingredients and flavour. I will go again, especially if I want impress a friend or family member.Top shelf all the way.
Had a great meal here tonight. Service was very prompt and was good throughout the meal I had the Cioppiono which was very good. Also stayed to take advantage of the post 10 pm happy hour drinks. Would definitely come again,
Solid farm to table style restaurant in Victoria. Very fresh menu with ingredients straight from their local farm. The vegetarian menu is decent and there is always a variety of local wild fish. Menu ranges from free range burgers to prawn Mac and cheese to quinoa bowls of the day. There seems to be a heating issue at the moment, as the restaurant was quite cold. In the summer time the patio is beautiful.
The good: cool atmosphere, great location, and a great idea – to encourage people to eat local.The bad: I ordered the duck confit; it arrived burnt (on the top and bottom), dry, and tasteless. I was so disappointed – which is very rare for me. I wanted to send it back but the waitress did not approach the table once during the meal, so I eventually gave up waiting and ate it. My wife’s dish was the steamed mussels, which were ok, although one came out closed (that shouldn’t happen).Overall, it has potential, but right now I wouldn’t recommend it.
Service was terrible … Clams and mussels came to the table closed. Tacos were probably the best thing at our table .. They need to focus on the service.
Below average food. Greasy and soggy wings, a gazpacho that was super cold tasting like a dip… Spaghetti with meatballs for the kids very average. Service was good, beer was good. Spend your dollars at FISH HOOK! Way better!!!!
My wife and I are currently sitting at 10 Acres on the patio and have to say that we have had a wonderful experience. It began with our waiting to be seated on the patio and being relocated to the bar where we had a great chat with Willis the bartender, who graciously provided us with wine samples in order to choose a bottle of wine. When seated, our server Molly was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent! Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend and come back again. 5/5 rating
