Terrible service/ mediocre foodTitle says it all. Service was almost non existent. Most basic things like cutlery, side plates, or water where only achieved after finding a random server. Ordered the spaghetti and received more empty plate than I did spaghetti which for the record really was nothing special. Response from the waitress and then the manager was lacking just like the service. Would not repeat at all classic tourist trap
Great food, but its a shame the service was so bad. 6 of us went to the Kitchen for a bday party last night and were all extremely disappointed with the service. No one came around to ask us how our food was tasting, we were only served 1 round of beverages without anyone asking if we wanted another which left us all with empty glasses siting in front of us 1/2 way through our meal, and to top it off the bus boy neglected to clear any of our plates for at least 15min after we were all finished eating. To make up for his tardiness he said wow Ive never seen anyone eat this fast. To imply 3 SENIORS and 3 adults ate faster than anyone hes ever seen was just a cop out for our whole table being neglected once again. In addition to this the sommelier came to our table explaining they were out of the bottle of wine we ordered which wasnt the case as we didnt order a bottle of wine and the waitress literally only came to our table twice. Once to take the order and once to take payment. On the other hand the food was quite tasty, but it was all lost on the horrible service and inflated prices. For $30-$40 an entree and $12 for desert you would expect a higher caliber of service to go along with the food. We are all local and dine out quite often and have to say we were hard pressed to think of an establishment where we received that poor of service in quite a while. We will most definitely not be eating there again and would suggest likewise. Theres a lot better restaurants in town with amazing service and food just as tasty for a lot less cash.
Great location with wonderful views over the inner harbour, parliment buildings and the Empress.Nicely laid out space and high end type furnishings.Definitely nice upscale/casual.Fren and I sat in the more laid back bar side area. The servers we met were all good. Polite. Efficient and good with recommendations.I wasnt really hungry and ordered the burger special. It was a bargain at $10.Local craft beer was also on special, $5/pint.Big time bang4buck value.Fren had the curry main and thought it was very good.I dont think I can comment on the overall food experience there based on a burger. Having said that it certainly looks like all the right pieces are in place here.I couldnt be happier with my first visit. Cheers.
Right from the time we got to this restaurant we should’ve turned around and walked out the door. The first hostess gave us the option of outside or inside but couldn’t make a decision so she sent us inside. Our waitress spoke so fast and mumbled so she was nearly impossible to understand. Food and drinks were slow to come out. The food tasted great, however, it was way too expensive for the portion you got.
