Tea is pretty good and the setting is very fancy. The view was pleasant with the harbour outside. The food is a set menu and comes as a nice 3 tiered plating. 1 is desert, 1 is bread and 1 is mini sandwiches. Flavors and taste would be a 4.5 and atmosphere a 4 but the price is steep so that’s why the rating is 3.5. The price 75 per person. Nice 1.time experience
Wonderful first time tea experience at the Empress. Some may call it a tourist thing but it’s something that should be done at least once. I’ve also had tea at the Fairmont YVR but it’s not the same feel as dining at the Empress. Our server Yousif was attentive without being intrusive while we were taking our time. He even cracked some jokes and took our photo for us. I look forward to coming back with my sister and mom.
